2 Background NWBC Elder Board invited John Miller, Mike Flores, Doug Gotcher and John Patton to form a Vision Task force. Mission was to develop a Vision Action Plan that would address some immediate needs at NWBC - Leadership - Discipleship - Evangelism The Board agreed the Plan would include: - Establishing an Executive Pastor role within NWBC - Doug Gotcher would initially, temporarily fill that role The Vision Action Plan is a framework. Providing new organizational support for the ministries at NWBC. The Vision Task Force acknowledges that the Plan would be a living document that needs to be matured over time by NWBC staff, lay leaders and members.

4 MISSION To see countless lives transformed through a supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ. We will accomplish this by being dedicated to the pursuit of the great commission and the great commandment.

5 The Great Commandment Gathered in Community: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. Jesus - Matthew 22:38-40 Training believers to discover, develop and deploy their spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:16

6 The Great Commission Scattered into the Community: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Jesus Matthew 28:19,20

7 Principles DEPENDENT ON JESUS CHRIST Train people to live under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Approaching each day under divine appointment, fully equipped to be community influencers COMMUNITY Continue NWBC s rich heritage of love, fellowship and family. DISCIPLESHIP Train people to be a disciple and disciple others. All Elders, staff and lay leaders will be required to disciple their successor. EVANGELISM Train people to recognize God s invitation for them to practically share The Gospel, their faith in Jesus Christ and their testimony.
