Students write a culminating paper, reflecting on their experience and integrating it with Prereq: Instructor permission Course Length: 11 Weeks Request an Exception Topical Outline: The student, working with internship coordinator/staff/faculty, will: determine career goals and a specific area of interest identify an internship/capstone that fits the student's goals apply for, interview for, and secure the internship - or - arrange and secure a capstone project mentor Page 1 of 5

Demonstrate effective work habits, including punctuality, planning, communicating effectively, Page 3 of 5

4 working well in groups and independently, and completing assigned projects/tasks satisfactorily. Assessment: Students will be assessed according to college and departmental policies. Favorable assessment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the capstone project as reviewed by the project mentor or internship as reviewed by the internship supervisor. Assessments shall also include successful completion of a written report linking the capstone / internship experience to classroom learning and preparation for the workplace.
