31 The Wedding Gazebo is a very intimate option with the ability to accommodate between 20 to 50 people. Our gazebo is beautifully decorated with flower and petal arrangements. Religious Ceremonies are not legally valid, this is a symbolic ceremony For a religious or non-denominational ceremony, it is not necessary to complete the legal requirements. If you would like to incorporate a reading, poem, song or prayer, inform the Wedding Coordinator accordingly. Couple may also provide their own music. However, they will be required to rent a sound system to play music during the ceremony. Times are subject to availability. The weather will be reviewed 4 hours prior to all outside wedding ceremonies. 43 Dinner Policies There are various locations, indoor or outdoor (Infinity Pool, Veranda Lounge, Sugar Reef Terrace, Oceana Terrace and Seaside Terrace), throughout the resort to celebrate the wedding dinner depending upon the preference of the couple. (Subject to availability) Price of the wedding packages will not be reduced if the number of guests is less than what is included in the package. If the number of guests are more than what is included in the package, an additional fee will apply. Beach Max 200 Beach and outdoor receptions are available. Round tables are able to accommodate 10 people per table. A beach buffet service will be provided for wedding groups of 50 or more people. In case of inclement weather, the Ballroom and theater are available depending on the size of the group. Ballroom Max 300 The Ballroom at Secrets Silversands provides a truly elegant venue for larger groups. Music is allowed in the Ballroom.

49 Secrets Silversands highly recommends that all additional decorations and/or favors be brought with the couple on the plane. If it is necessary to ship boxes prior to the couples arrival, we suggest using either FEDEX or DHL and shipping everything a month and a half in advance to ensure all boxes clear customs. Please be advised that food, animals, insects or natural flowers are not permitted to enter Mexico. Label all boxes with your name and clearly specify the date you will be arriving Secrets Silversands will deliver gifts to the guest s rooms. There will be a fee of $4.00 USD plus 15% service fee per room. A complete list of all guests along with room numbers are required. Once the boxes have been shipped, please send an to the wedding coordinator with the following information to allow us to track the packages: Bride s name Tracking number Shipping company Number of boxes Policy on Damages and Losses The property does not assume responsibility for any items, personal or professional, brought onto the resort prior to, during or after the wedding event. These include, but are not limited to, floral arrangements, decorations or equipment. The wedding couple is responsible for all non resort guests while they are on property attending the event.

50 Deposit Policy A deposit is required to confirm and hold the requested wedding date Deposit requirements vary based on wedding package purchased. Deposit of $ is required to reserve the Wedding in Paradise Package; a deposit of $ is required to reserve the Love or Ultimate Wedding Package. This deposit can then be applied toward ceremony and/or reception upgrades which have been purchased in addition to the wedding package. If the wedding couple chooses not to purchase additional ceremony and/or reception amenities, the credit can then be applied toward any room charges upon check out, including but not limited to phone charges, spa treatments and logo shop purchases. Any remaining credit balance will be refunded in the form of the original payment. Cancellation Policy The wedding can be canceled six or more months prior to the confirmed date without penalties. If the wedding is canceled within six months, the non-refundable deposit will be kept as a penalty. If the wedding is canceled, but the couple still travels as planned, the deposit can then be applied toward any additional room charges made during their stay. Payment Options The entire payment must be paid in full two days prior to the wedding, after the first meeting with the wedding coordinator. The final wedding payment must be paid with traveler checks or credit card. Payments with traveler s checks (American Express) require a passport. The following credit cards will be accepted: Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Personal checks will not be accepted as a form of payment.

51 The following list of legal requirements are needed only for legal marriage. The Secrets Silversands Wedding Coordinator must receive the following documents to begin the application for marriage in the Civil Registry Office. Bride, Groom and four witnesses must arrive in Cancun 4 business days prior to the wedding day (Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays do not count). Symbolic and non-legal ceremonies allow flexibility for arrival date. Please speak with the wedding coordinator to discuss requirements Tourist Card (Couple and guests will receive them upon arrival at Cancun International Airport). If Bride or Groom are divorced, they will need to provide their original Birth Certificates and copy of the Final Divorce Decree both with the stamps (Le Apostille) of the Registry of your Country. This document must be translated into Spanish (see prices on legal fees page). Translation must be done in Mexico, otherwise will not be valid. Valid Passports Blood Test (see prices on legal fees page) - The test cannot be taken more than 14 days prior to the ceremony and must be taken in Mexico. The blood will be tested for HIV, STD s (sexually transmitted diseases) and blood type. The results will be ready in 24 hours along with a certificate of the blood test. The blood test fee must be paid directly to the Wedding Coordinator in cash or credit card the day the test is taken. Judge s transportation fee. Round trip from the city (see prices on legal fees page) fees must be paid directly to the Judge on the wedding date. The names, addresses, nationalities, ages, occupation, relationship, copy of a tourist card and a valid identification of the four witnesses. Wedding Coordinator will send you the legal form. The witnesses can be anyone with a valid passport. The Marriage Certificate is only valid in Mexico. In order to make it legal internationally, the Wedding Coordinator will send a copy of the Marriage License to the Validation Process. (See legal fees page) The process will take up to 2-4 months. Once the document is Apostilled, the resort will send all documentation to couples home address. In case if the couple wants to have their parents names on the marriage certificate, they must provide before arrival their birth cerificates with the apostille on it, this certificates will be transtaled in Mexico and will have additional fee of $200+ tax each one. Mexican goverment can make changes on the legal requirements without notice.
