We must believe that we will not and never will run and walk alone, we all run and walk together to have a great victory over HIV and AIDS, and we will do it in our lifetime. John Lewis (D-GA), U.S. Congressman GA is 5th in the nation for new HIV infections, and Southern states today account for an estimated 44 percent of all people living with an HIV diagnosis in the U.S. (CDC) The Metro Atlanta region accounts for 66% of the total AIDS cases in GA. Fulton & DeKalb counties have the highest infection rates. (DPH) The Southeast is the fastest growing region in the country for new HIV infections. (CDC/DPH)
