1 Santander Scholarships Guidance for applicants 2016/17 1. Conditions and Eligibility You must be in possession of an offer letter to commence in 2016 on a masters course at Bangor University, i.e. a course leading to an MA, MSc, MBA, MTh, MEd or LLM. The studentships is only open to full-time students You should have a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution of higher education, or have experience which demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at honours degree standard Santander Scholarships are available for full-time master s degree courses All scholarships are for a period of one year only, all student will be notified of the total amount in the awarding letter. Santander countries are Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia, USA, China, Germany, Singapore, Poland, Ghana, Belgium, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. 2. Application procedure Complete ALL relevant sections on this form Ensure that you have included the following documents along with your complete application form: o A copy of your transcript(s) from your most recent programme of study. This should be in English o A copy of your offer letter from Bangor University (if applicable) o A copy of your English language test score - IELTS o CV 3. Criteria for selection of candidates Santander Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and personal qualities and achievements. The suitability of candidates for their chosen course how the course builds on previous education and experience and relates to career ambitions/personal development will all be taken into account. 4. Selection process DEADLINE Successful applicants will normally be notified of the outcome by the end of May. The Scholarships are awarded to new full-time students enrolling on Masters Courses in 2016/17 academic year. Candidates may not defer the take-up of a scholarship until a later date. The application is to be completed and returned to Miss Kelly-Ann Hughes, Bangor University aos68b@bangor.ac.uk no later than 31 st May 2016.
