16 Trending Access Requirements Today s Mobile Access requirement has shifted from standard 2G TDM (E1) backhaul to mixed TDM/Ethernet backhaul. 17 Successful 2G to 3G Migration An MNO in Pakistan was using CDM-625 with E1 interface for 2G Successfully migrated to IP transport for 3G by adding Packet Processor into modem VLAN QoS to differentiate signaling, voice and data Header compression Payload compression This migrated satellite 3G network will carry more than 500 Mbps of voice and data traffic - Without needing extra bandwidth 17
