Upcoming Events Community Fun Day Dec 5 Wally Strong Park Foundation Raffle $2 / ticket Boy & girl bike Uniforms on sale next week. Please see when the shop will be open Wishing you all a great holiday and a wonderful Christmas Community Update Dear Parents, Carers and Community members, It gives me great pleasure to inform you that our enrolments have reached the 250 mark. Wow what a busy time we have had conducting enrolment interviews and getting to meet all our lovely new families. Unfortunately for those out-of-catchment families, we will not be offering any further out-of-catchment places. Thank you for your interest in our school and I wish you all the best in finding a great school like Bellmere State School. Any in-catchment enrolments of course will continue to be accepted. We are looking forward to meeting all our new Bellmere State School families and students at the Fun Day tomorrow. This day is about celebrating the beginning of our new school community. Come and be part of the fun and celebration. All children and families of Bellmere State School, and those intending on enrolling, or wanting to know more about our school and community, are invited to join in the fun. It will be held at Wally Strong Park in Bellmere, just down from the shops, from 11am to 3pm. There will be a gift for all enrolled students as well as free fairy floss and popcorn. We will have facepainting, a sausage sizzle (gold coin donation) and softdrinks and water will be on sale for $1 a can/bottle. We have some dance performances and our teachers will be running some fun games. SchoolPlus (our outside school hours care providers) will be there to answer any questions you may have on OSHC as well as other stall holders from our community. We will also be selling tickets in our 2 children s bikes and a $100 voucher for a Christmas ham.

Parents are advised that children attending need to be accompanied by a parent. It is also advised that children should wear sunscreen and a hat, and bring a water bottle with them. Families are invited to bring a rug for the ground or some seating. We were very fortunate to have two brand new children s bikes donated to us to kick off our fundraising efforts. A huge thankyou to Mr Rick Williams MP, State Member for Pumicestone, who donated the bikes. Tickets are on sale for $2/ticket and the bikes will be drawn on our first day of school January 27. Tickets can be purchased from the office, our Fun Day, Open Day and also prior to the draw. Thank you for your patience. I am pleased to inform you that uniforms will be on sale next week Monday to Friday. So that we don t have the whole school turning up at the same time to purchase uniforms, I have staggered the sale of the uniforms throughout the week. Please note when you should attend and we would appreciate you adhering to this schedule. Our preference is that uniforms are paid for using cash. However, we will have access to an EFTPOS machine however this will be a little more tricky for us in reconciling the purchases through the bank, but it still can be done. Cash will be much easier for us. Please note the cost of uniforms in the Student Dress Code and come prepared with the correct amount. Click here to read the Student Dress Code. Thankyou for your support with this. Uniforms will be sold from inside the Resource Centre. Please remember that when stock was ordered, there was no enrolment data and best guesses had to be made in deciding on the number of pieces for each size. The benefit of selling uniforms next week is that any stock that runs out can be replenished over the Christmas break, prior to school commencing. Therefore, it is recommended that as many parents as possible try to purchase their uniforms (or place them on layby) next week so that we are able to reorder stock in the relevant sizes. We have also sourced some beautiful hair pieces for our girls in our school colours. These will be for sale with the uniforms. Please see below the items for sale and prices. Don t forget that embroidery is available for any uniforms purchased as well so that permanent identification of uniform pieces can be made. UNIFORM SALE TIMES MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY 1pm 5pm 3pm- 6pm 11am 3pm 9am 1pm 9am 1pm Year 3 & Year 5 & 6 and Prep & Siblings Year 1 & 2 & Year 4 & Siblings working parents unable Siblings Siblings to make it during the day

Bellmere SS Uniform Shop is offering an affordable service to get any school items embroidered with initials or name. Embroidery is great because it never rubs off, but still can be removed if you wish to sell second hand uniforms. School items will never be missing for long and the school will not need a lost property box. Check out the information and price list here.

HAIR ACCESSORIES PRICE LIST $5.00 Pinwheel Hair Ties $8.00 Bun Wrap $6.00 Headband $6.00 Corker $6.00 Family Clips

Students from Prep to Year 6 are invited to bring their own ipad to school. However, in order for the ipads to work efficiently on the system, I encourage parents to purchase devices with at least the minimum specifications outlined below. Minimum specifications Recommended specifications ipad Air 32g wifi only required ipad Air 2 64g wifi only required Earlier models will be significantly slower on the system with more frequency of Apps crashing. However, if parents prefer, we can try the earlier models on the system to see how they go. Bellmere State School is now enrolled for the Family Funded Program through Apple. Stating your school name will result in a price reduction. For all enquiries, please contact the Principal Ms Deb Lorraway: P: M: E: W: https://bellmeress.eq.edu.au/pages/default.aspx
