2 THE ROLE OF THE SPORT IN INFANCY A fundamental aspect that the coach must understand is the motive why the boys/girls take part in the sports program, and the behavior the children show in the different competitions they compete in. Numerous studies demonstrate that the boys and girls prefer being successful in the field of sport that to have academic success. If they had to fail in one of these two fields, boys would be prefer to fail in the classroom, and girls would prefer failing in sport. This is an example of the child grants to his sports activity.
3 MOTIVATION OF THE BOYS AND GIRLS AS THEY START PLAYING BASKETBALL: The principal motivation of the boys and girls seeking a way to play this sport is to have fun, make friends and fell good. The fundamental and most important goal is to motivate the player through fun, because first of all, Basketball is a game.
4 A BASKETBALL GAME The games are a simulation approach similar to the real development of any activity in childs life. If we approach team sports, we must include cooperation factors (peers) and opposition (opponents), albeit at e reduced level. When a child learns to play and we must be conscious that the coach should teach to the child to enjoy. For it, the coach must seek or to create the most suitable game in order that the child learns in a playful form.
5 INITIATION OF BOYS AND GIRLS TO THE BASKETBALL: The introduction to basketball is the Key Stage in the development of a player, as the experiences that they will have and the habits that they acquire will live them a mark on personality, their way of behaving and even the possibility of some day becoming a top athlete. Much will depend on the experience that the child has been provided with at this Stage, in their decision to keeping practicing Basketball in an organized team, or not. Certainly from the first moment and until the child is aged 15-16, the rules of basketball will be adapted in order to adjust to the capacities and needs of every age and to facilitate the development of the gradual progression at the different ages or levels.
6 HOW TO ADOPT A GAME OF BASKETBALL TO THE NEEDS OF A CHILD. The game must be initially simple, and it is possible to become more complicated progressively by means of changing the rules. In addition, it is necessary to always be very prepared, because the child suspects quickly there are problems in its design or in its execution, and tends to easily give up. Sometimes it can be useful to copy already existing games, however it is much better to create new games from the characteristics of the players and of the available resources. Also, Educational situations have to be created, in order for the child to advance in the practice of basketball, without affecting in the technique (especially in the initial phase), so that there is a teaching sequence that allows the child to learn what we are looking for.
7 A GAME OF BASKETBALL FOR ALL THE CHILDREN. In every team or group of children we will find that there is multitude of differences between every member: 1. Players with different interests 2. Players with different experiences 3. Players with capacities and very unequal skills. 4. Players of diverse ages, heights, weight, different sex, All of this is a part of the plurality and variety that makes each basketball team different. For every coach work, goes beyond the sports area, and they have to be busy with training everyone, thinking of all their differences.
8 A GAME OF BASKETBALL FOR ALL THE CHILDREN. It is interesting to create different ways of learning; the norm is that children learn different ways and at different paces; many children will learn with a series of phases (normal route), but others will need more stops in his learning (slow route), amen those who will demand a shorter process for having a previous experience (rapid route). 9 INITIATION'S COACH CONCEPT Person who works with children or pre-teens, in a full phase of development and personal maturity with the intention of introducing them to basketball in a playful and educational way. A good Initiation's Coach achieves if his players enjoy the sport that they practice, and at the same time they learn the correct skills of the game. He must be, therefore, an "entertainer of basketball". They will need to have, therefore, a basic knowledge of the game, know the principal rules, apply motivating games that stimulate the children and to avoid the neglect of these of the sports practice.
10 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE INITIATION'S COACH Besides the previously indicated, some of characteristics that define a good coach are: 1. Must show model of behavior to the players 2. The communication with the players must be adopted to the level of these, so that they understand everything. 3. Motivating must be one of the principal virtues of the initiation's coach, and he has to be able to transmit to the players. 4. Must have a clear idea of what to teach, and of the aims that they must fulfill. Train Illusion Player learn Motivate
11 MODELS OF EVENTS DIRECTED TO THE DIFFUSION OF THE BASKETBALL SCHOLL PROGRAMS OF PROMOTION OF BASKETBALL. There are many countries that have developed School Programs, whose target is promoting the development of Basketball in School Centers in a fun way, transmitting values and positivity in their physical and personal development. THE SCHOOL PROGRAM should be for the PROMOTION OF BASKETBALL in the school environment, which reaches all the local areas. The aim is to increase the number of players basketball amateurs and improve social integration, education with values and the health through the sport. We attempted to bring the activity of basketball to the Educational Center through several proposals to make the development easier. These proposals consist in offering to School Centers the necessary material and organizing activities related with basketball and its education.
12 MODELS OF EVENTS DIRECTED TO THE DIFFUSION OF THE BASKETBALL ORGANIZED BASKETBALL LEAGUES (U12-MINIBASKET). The purpose of these organized leagues is not competing but introducing the young players to the spirit of Minibasket through games and activities suitable to their age. At these ages and with the game of Minibasket we make a special emphasis in the values obtained from the game, so the coach must motivate, compromise, set exercises and promote teamwork, etc., leaving the score as secondary. The competition is not about wining; it is about taking to the court all you have learned during the innumerable practices, not only technically, physically and tactically, but attitudes. Players won t remember the results obtained in the Minibasket, but what they learned during Minibasket will be stuck in their minds.
13 MODELS OF EVENTS DIRECTED TO THE DIFFUSION OF THE BASKETBALL COMPETITIONS ADAPTED TO BASKETBALL (TRIBASKET). Tribasket starts as a competition adapted for students who are learning to new styles of playing alone or with a few friends this a way of simplifying the organization of the game, which makes it easier to practice. Tribasket is an activity that makes the approach to basketball easier; a hook to keep players interested, whilst becoming a focal point to attraction players. Tribasket consists in 3 procedures: SHOOTING (free shot, 2 points shoot and triple), ABILITY (management of the ball) and GAME (1vs1, 2vs2 and 3vs3). Tribasket an alternative to traditional and regulated basketball, it offers a way to make Basketball more accessible and attractive; the important thing is to make Basketball accessible to all.
