1 Dear Organising Committee Members and Everyone Else Who Volunteered to Work for the Conference, As a lucky person who got away with enjoying it just like a welcome guest, thank you very much for your extremely hard work! I've been to conferences organised by conference organisers, but this was the first time I saw one that was organised by volunteers and yet matched the level of a professionally organised and enterprise paid conference. It was incredible. Thank you so very much! Now excuse me, I have to go back to my studies of Na'vi... Since I'm not on the AUSIT bulletin, I would be grateful if you would pass on my congratulations to the organising committee. You did a great job! I have to say that your excellent organisation paid off. The catering was so good for such a big crowd, the venue and location were perfect and the presentations inspiring. I was pleasantly surprised to see such an important literary translation component. There was a good balance of presentations. And, of course, it's always nice meeting new colleagues and renewing acquaintances with people met at other conferences. Oh yes, and a wonderful tango performance too, not to mention the choir. So many treats! What a coup to get Paul Frommer! And how nice it was of him to make himself available the whole 2 days. I was surprised not to see any media like SBS around for the occasion. Were they made aware of his presence? I'm just curious because it didn't matter to us (or to him I suspect), except perhaps for the publicity for AUSIT. Now I'm wondering if I should make an effort to go to the next one. Do we know where the next conference will be held? Once again, well done! You must now all have a good long rest... 5 Re: Synergise! Photos Dear all, It should take a couple of weeks to sort out all the photos and send them to Annamaria. There are pictures of the conference, of the cocktail, and even a few dancing pictures (which I was thinking of sending directly to the persons involved rather than posting them on the website for everyone to see...). Thank to the WA committee for organizing this event, I really enjoyed it and I think it's been a real success. I am French and picky, but even the food was great!
