The course has been designed in components for both senior decision makers as well as staff officers. It draws its case studies and instructional materials from previous STO-studies (SAS-089, -098, -101). It is intended to address both the host country as well as the neighbouring countries. The Fiumicino Airport is connected to Termini Station by the F.S. Leonardo Express direct train (from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.), which leaves every 30 minutes with a journey time of 30 minutes (14 euros). From this air terminal, the F.S. Express Train is the most convenient transport for central Rome, reachable in about minutes. Otherwise there is a metropolitan train (fr1) which leaves every 15 minutes from Fiumicino Airport and stops in Tiburtina Station, Ostiense Station, Trastevere Station and Tuscolana Station (8 euro). These regular trains stop at the minor stations of Rome and the estimated time is minutes. The Ciampino Airport is connected by bus to the Termini Station and to the Anagnina underground stop (Metro A orange). You can also reach the conference site from Fiumicino or Ciampino airport by taxi, with a fixed fare (per journey and not per passenger), inclusive of all extra charges: - from Fiumicino Airport to within the Aurelian Walls and vice versa: 48,00 - from Ciampino Airport to within the Aurelian Walls and vice versa: 30,00 Taxis licensed by Rome City Council are white and have a sign bearing the word TAXI on their roofs. The symbol of Rome City Council is clearly visible on the front doors and the license is inside the back left. How to get there by train All trains stop at Termini station or at Tiburtina station (some trains also stop at Ostiense station, which is connected to the conference site via Metro B (direction: Rebibbia).
