2 FEES Fees include vending space on grounds and a limited number of working passes each day depending on the size of the operation. Fees are $ plus 10% of net sales. Upon notification of acceptance a deposit of $ is due. PLACEMENT As final placements are made, maps providing location will be sent. Liz Elkins, will be in contact to check all equipment orders and permits are in place. A permit is required for a tent, canopy or air supported structure in excess of 400 square feet. The permit application is available at LOAD IN / LOAD OUT Details will be advanced. Load in begins at 7AM on Friday July 24th and all support vehicles must be off grounds by 1PM SHARP. Load out begins at 11:00PM on Sunday July 26th and must be completed by 2AM. Participants should not leave any permanent marks or attach signage to buildings. Please be respectful of local business owners and residents. Failure to remove all booth materials and clean up your area will result in a $ fine. Additionally, participants may not remove their Food Truck from its assigned location at any time over the festival weekend. DAILY SALES REPORT You will be required to report your daily sales to our on site Food Truck manager, Liz Elkins. DO YOU NEED POWER? Y/N If you need power, please purchase from Hollywood lighting. Submit your power order here: Enter code CHBP16. DO YOU NEED CANOPIES OR OTHER FURNITURE? Y/N Participants are required to provide their own canopy and display equipment, however it must be approved in advance by the festival organizers. If any of the above is required, please call ABC Rentals (425) to place your order. These items will be delivered to your space during load in. WOULD YOU LIKE TO ORDER ICE FOR THE EVENT? Y/N 40lb. bags of ice are $10 and will be delivered daily. How many bags would you like per day? Please Jon@capitolhillblockparty.com for your daily needs. FOOD SERVICE You will need to obtain a temporary food service permit from Public Health Seattle & King County. Download here: Business/temporary.aspx Deadline is 21 days prior to the event.
3 OPEN FLAME COOKING If you will be using open flame for cooking including propane, wood, or charcoal you will need to obtain a Permit from the Seattle Fire Department. Deadline is 10 days prior to the event. Download Open Flame Permit Application here: The City of Seattle requires that all food services provide packaging that is compostable or recyclable. Vendors in violation are subject to a $250 fine per violation (Seattle Municipal Code Section ). Any energy drinks sold on site need to be Red Bull products. Enhanced, bottled water and soda requirements TBA. You may purchase these products on your own or at the festival. INSURANCE Vendors must provide proof of insurance including $1,000,000 of General Liability insurance and a certificate of insurance naming Independent Event Solutions LLC and Seattle Arts and Music Foundation as additionally insured. This must be provided no later than July 13st, SECURITY Security is on duty overnight, but do not leave any valuables in your booth. The Block Party is not responsible for any stolen or damaged items left overnight. OPERATING HOURS Booths must be in operation the following hours Friday 2:00PM a Midnight Saturday 1:00PM Midnight Sunday 1:00PM 9:00PM THE RULES 1. I understand that amplified sound will not be allowed at my booth. 2. I understand that my food truck/vehicle must be turned off for the duration of the event 3. I understand that my food truck/vehicle must remain in its assigned position for the duration of the festival and not leave the premises at any time. 4. I will stay within my assigned footprint. 5. I will secure all valuables at the end of the night. 6. I will remove all booth materials and clean up the area within our footprint. 7. Participants will be notified of acceptance by June 1, 2016
