2 RESIDENTIAL FOUNDATIONS AND FLOORS FAST-TRACK SOLUTIONS FOR COST-EFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT The Roger Bullivant Limited (RBL) House Foundations and Floor System is the result of an intensive Research and Development programme, backed by over 35 years expertise at the forefront of foundation engineering. Bringing the immediate benefits of a designed and engineered solution to residential developers, build programmes and direct costs can both be reduced. RBL uses a range of in-house designed and built, shortmasted, lightweight rigs, increasing manoeuvrability and reducing the depth of platforms required. The range includes Quiet Hammer ; specifically designed to reduce piling noise, for use on environmentally sensitive sites. A network of specialist centres across the country ensures swift attention to customers demands. Using one of the many RB piling options, even problematic ground conditions can be readily overcome, including situations where contamination exists and spoil removal is difficult. Piling options include: BBA certificated pre-cast segmental piles Driven steel piles Continuous flight auger piles (CFA) Continuous helical displacement piles (CHD) The piling method is selected according to loadings and ground conditions; some piling methods result in little or no arisings. Once the piles are tested and capped, the RBL pre-cast concrete beams are swiftly installed, having been designed according to the building type and loadings. 3 PRE-CAST CONCRETE BEAMS RBL on-site engineers provide all the technical support needed to establish the setting out procedures once piling has been completed. A range of beam sizes in two main types is available T-Beams or rectangular beams. All beams are factory manufactured at RB s three strategically located manufacturing units across the UK. 4 CONCRETE FLOOR SLABS Regardless of weather conditions, the RBL engineered floor systems provide a dry, stable working platform ready for follow-on trades to start work. The RBL foundation system is compatible with all proprietary flooring products and is quickly installed. Interface with other trades is eliminated, so there are no delays on site.
