1 Addressed to See Invitation List KombiConsult GmbH Zum Laurenburger Hof Frankfurt am Main Tel Fax Development of Intermodal Transport in Croatia Dear Madame or Sir, The Croatian railway sector has made a considerable progress with respect to rail freight transport in the last years: Statistics showing a recovery of rail freight transport in recent years and Croatia has opted to place share of HZ Cargo to the private sector; The seaport of Rijeka has been modernized and increased its capacity; The well-known Pan-European Corridors V and X have been renamed, now being part of the Trans-European Transport Network linking Croatia with its Neighbors. These create opportunities for rail freight transport, but is it time to be proud, to be satisfied, and lean back? What about intermodal transport in particular and its further growth path? These and other items should be discussed with relevant actors of the intermodal sector in Croatia and we kindly invite you to discuss the recent achievements, status quo and future prospects of intermodal transport in Croatia, achieve a consent about the growth perspective and coordinate regulative, financial as well as infrastructural and operational measures that will be necessary to foster the increase of intermodal rail services, identify relevant actors and time horizons for the realization of the intermodal strategy and summarize a road map on intermodal transport in Croatia.
