1 Position Description: Senior.NET Programmer/Developer Department: Application Development Division: Information Technology FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Griffiss Revised: February 2016 Purpose: Consistent with the credit union philosophy of people helping people and AmeriCU s vision ( to be the primary financial resource to our members ) and mission ( to exceed our members expectations and build beneficial and lasting relationships by providing excellent financial services ), the Senior.NET Programmer/ Developer is responsible for developing business intelligence solutions and leveraging Microsoft technologies C#/.NET, SQL Server, SSRS. The Senior.NET Programmer/Developer will develop, implement and maintain computer applications for user departments and members. The Senior.NET Programmer/Developer will provide technical leadership to.net Programmer/Developers, interact directly with management and users to analyze and specify application requirements, and will make system recommendations. The Senior.NET Programmer/Developer will coordinate the development of project plans, assist with problem solving, and perform testing and documenting of computer systems. The role will provide guidance to staff involved with their projects and will have a strong knowledge of the entire development stack. I. Supports AmeriCU in implementing the strategy established by management. II. Works closely with internal customers to help establish business requirements and solve business issues. III. Plays a primary role in the analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation and support of applications for all areas of AmeriCU across single or multiple systems. IV. Provides maintenance support for existing credit union applications and related products as directed. V. Assists users in solving system problems and provides technical assistance to credit union staff. VI. Investigates program errors, defines problems, debugs programs, test results, and implement changes. Roles and Responsibilities: Primary 1. Responsible for the request queue ensuring that user requests are completed according to the department s SLA. May assign queue items to.net Developer/Programmers depending on workload and skill level. 2. Develops, tests, documents and maintains.net based applications within the credit union. 3. Develops, tests, documents and maintains SQL stored procedures. 4. Develops, tests, documents and maintains WCF services. 5. Interfaces with other team members, researches and makes recommendations for new programs or changes to existing programs. 6. Assists in analyzing business problems and implement programming solutions in cross-functional project environments.

2 7. Integrate activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support of software integration. 8. May lead projects or coach other project personnel to ensure business application systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices. 9. In case of program defects, data errors, equipment failure or fatal error (crash) takes corrective action based on previously programmed steps or using standard techniques. 10. Reports all problems having significant impact on schedule programs and problems not resolvable using standard or prescribed corrective measures to the Manager, Application Development or the Chief Information Officer. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. Secondary TEAMWORK: Builds and maintains an effective working relationship with all peers. Coordinates and integrates departmental work activities with co-workers' work activities. Positively contributes to teams and other work groups to carry out departmental projects. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Assists management with projects. Provides constructive input into the Action Plan Process to facilitate project planning and implementation. Assists in the identification of resources required, costs, benefits, timelines, implementation schedules, and evaluation. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Supports and operates within departmental budget in cooperation with coworkers. Is familiar with departmental budget operating reports and variance reports. STAFF DEVELOPMENT: Attends workshops, seminars, or other developmental opportunities as identified to improve individual and or team performance. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Monitor and identify personal/ professional development needs and maintains capabilities consistent with the organization s philosophy and values through special project assignments, technical workshops and seminars; reading, reflection, course work, and management development opportunities and activities. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Positively contributes to the performance management process by setting goals, completing the self-evaluation and actively participating in quarterly performance management feedback sessions. E-COMMERCE: Supports and operates within e-commerce strategy maximizing the use of technology whenever possible. Is familiar with technology applicable to the System Administrator position and is proficient is using existing technology. COMMUNICATION: Actively participates in weekly staff meetings. Provides information to co-workers and manager/supervisor in a timely manner. Models communication actions consistent with department communication commitments. CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP: Represents the Credit Union at appropriate internal events, professional organizations, and community events/programs. COMPLIANCE: Acquires and maintains the necessary working knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations and Credit Union bylaws and policies, in order to ensure compliance when selling Credit Union services and products. Work is subject to review and/or audit on a no-notice basis by Management, Supervisory Committee, auditors and/or examiners. PROFESSIONALISM: Must display a pleasant, professional manner and positive attitude on the job and follow guidelines established in the Credit Union's Policy Manual, including the Code of Ethics, Telecommunications Policy, dress code and attendance areas. SAFETY: Works safely and uses safety/ergonomic equipment provided. Reports defects in work area, or equipment promptly. Keeps equipment in proper working order to maintain a safe work environment.

3 Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Manager, Application Development. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. A minimum of 5 years of practical experience developing solutions using Microsoft.Net (C#). A minimum of 5 years work experience in Analytic and Database programming positions using either MS-SQL or Oracle databases. Experience with Microsoft MVC, WCF, WPF, Design Patterns, and/or Agile methodologies is required. Experience with AML and Objective- C is preferred. Advanced Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills Solid experience in architecture, advanced reporting and dashboards. Strong SQL skills and experience developing stored procedures is required. Good understanding of Data Modeling concepts, Data relationships. Well versed with object oriented principles and aware of design patterns. Excellent troubleshooting skills with proven ability to quickly identify and address root cause. Demonstrated ability to work with Visual Studio, Team Explorer, TFS. Experience with analysis, design, developing, coding, testing, maintenance/support, configuration management, and deployments. Desire to work in fast-paced team environment. Good technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing systems development in new computer architectures and environment; knowledge of relevant technology and tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Good project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks. Will be required to work nights, weekends, or off-hours, without supervision. Subject to temporary shift changes and odd workweeks, including weekends. Month-end, quarter-end statements and reports, updates, etc. will necessitate modification of the work schedule.
