5 UK Athletics Strategy AMBITION 1 OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS Mo Farah set a new indoor world record for the two miles at the Sainsbury s Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham in Feb 2015 Georgina Hermitage broke her own world record for T37 400m (1:.02.48) at the Sainsbury s Anniversary Games in July 2015 Morgan Lake set a world age-17 pentathlon best of 4448 points in France in Jan 2015 Dina Asher-Smith set a new British record for the 200m of in the World Championships in Beijing having already broken the record in the semi-final Isobel Pooley equalled the British record of 1.97m in the High Jump at the British Championships in July 2015 Shara Proctor set a new long jump record of 7.07m at the World Championships in Beijing Tom Bosworth set a new British record of 19:00:73 in the 5000m walk at the British Championships in July 2015 Sophie Hitchon broke the British record twice in setting a new hammer record of 73.86m at the World Championships in Beijing Nick Miller set a new British record of 77.55m for the Hammer throw in Sweden in July 2015 The women s 4 x 100m team of Asha Philip, Dina Asher-Smith, Jodie Williams and Desiree Henry set a new British record of 42.1 Sophie Hahn set a new world record for T38 100m of at the Sainsbury s Anniversary Games in July 2015 AMBITION 2 STAGE GREAT EVENTS TO ENGAGE THE PUBLIC 2P9 P8 P9

6 UK Athletics Strategy AMBITION 2 STAGING In the last 12 months, our second full year of staging and promoting our own events, we have successfully delivered a series of events including four Diamond League meetings, two IPC Grand Prix finals, indoor and outdoor British Championships, the indoor Grand Prix, and the unique, world class London Anniversary Games at the Olympic Stadium. SPONSORSHIP We continue to reap the benefits of our sponsorship deals with major brands including Nike and Sainsbury s, and this year announced that Proctor and Gamble has added their support to athletics as our official advertising partner. BBC The seven year deal with the BBC, now in its third year, ensures 25 hours of terrestrial TV coverage. VINCO We support this with our own streaming of both the indoor and outdoor British Championships using Vinco Sport. We also show interviews from all events on British Athletics TV via YouTube and have given a number of athletes the opportunity to be guest interviewers. This crowd is what helped me the most - the claps just echoed and it gave me an extra boost. I honestly did not expect to jump so far - I m just speechless SHARA PROCTOR P10 P11

I really wanted both the indoor and outdoor British titles this year and to come out and do both of them this year at the age of 21 is good and I can build on this now. 9 UK Athletics Strategy AMBITION 2 OTHER EVENTS HOSTED FINDING THEIR VOICE Third Women in World Athletics (WIWA) Seminar attracted 40 delegates from 23 countries MAKE IT OFFICIAL 13th UKA Officials Conference RUNNING UP THE HILL Fifth mountain running camp in North Wales PASS THE BATON More than 1000 runners from 230 corporate teams of five took part in the first ever Diamond Relays held after the Anniversary Games in the Olympic Stadium NO. 1 FOR INDOORS The world s number one indoor event will alternate between Glasgow and Birmingham for the next five years MORE INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS The eyes of the world will be back on Birmingham in 2018 when the city hosts the World Indoor Championships.
