31 30 Key to technical table Hearth Can be hearth or wall mounted. If wall mounted the fire would require a small plinth to support the fret/ashpan which is not attached to the main fire. NB: Please note that the fires which are highlighted as Hearth are intended for floor level installation with a back panel and hearth. If raised some of the inner workings of the fire may become more visible than intended. These fires are suitable for most pre-fabricated flues dependent on the flue depth and diameter. Please refer to the installation instructions to ensure that this fire is compatible. > Balanced flue fires can be installed inset/semi-inset into the wall cavity with the 3 spacer, or flat against the wall with the 5 spacer. Note: Due to the sheer number of varying flue boxes and pre-cast flues it is not possible to advise on which fires are suitable until the existing fire has been removed. If the width at the rear of the pre-cast flue starter blocks is less than 300mm wide the minimum depth of the opening will be not less than 154mm.
