Tuesdays Thursdays 6 th Grade: Mrs. Parr (Room 113) 6 th Grade: Mrs. Parr (Room 113) 7 th Grade: Mrs. Weir (Room 217) 7 th Grade: TBD 8 th Grade: Mr. Macko (Room 230) 8 th Grade: Mr. Capehart (Room 227) 2. 8 th Grade Algebra Assistance Mr. Ausar Tuesday/Thursday Location: Mr. Ausar s Room (Room 132) Description: A place to go if you need extra help with Algebra I th, 7 th, and 8 th E-Games Mrs. Gabbert Tuesday/Thursday Location: Mrs. Gabbert s Room (Room 208) Description: Do you like to play and compete against other students with the same computer game interests? Well join us on our RMS computers for an E-lectrifying afternoon in E-games! Tuesday: 6 th Grade Only Thursday: 7 th and 8 th Grade Only 4. 6 th Grade Choir Mrs. Ruggles Tuesday/Thursday Location: Mrs. Ruggle s Room (Room 30) Description: Are you a 6 th grader that loves to sing? We invite you to join the 6 th grade choir! We will work on various musical compositions and find opportunities to perform around Ritenour Middle School or in the community th and 8 th Fitness Club Mrs. Forrest Tuesday/Thursday Location: Small Gym Description: Are you a fitness fanatic? Do you need a place to work out? Come join fitness club and work toward a healthier life. We will utilize weight and fitness equipment to meet our fitness goals. *Must have prior permission from the P.E. teachers to participate to ensure proper training of equipment to prevent injury. Tuesday: 7 th and 8 th Grade Boys Only* Thursday: 7 th and 8 th Grade Girls Only*

3 6. 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th Chess Club Mr. Struble Tuesdays Location: Mr. Struble s Room (Room 31) Description: Both new and experienced players are welcome to chess club. Chess is a strategy game that has been played for more than a thousand years, and St. Louis is home to the World Chess Hall of Fame. In Chess Club, students can learn to play the game for the first time, or sharpen their skills playing against other players. Our goal is to crown a Ritenour Middle School chess champion th, 7 th, and 8 th Drum Line Mr. Kemp Tuesdays Location: Mr. Kemp s Room (Room 118) Description: A drumline is a section of percussion instruments usually played as part of a musical marching ensemble. We will learn the fundamentals of a drum line and put together a show to present at Ritenour Middle School or community events. If you love to drum or have an interest in drumming, join the drum line! 8. 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th Sci Fi/Anime Club Mrs. Weir Thursdays Location: Assembly Room Description: Konichiwa (Hello). Are you a fan of Science Fiction or Fantasy? Are you interested in Anime and Japanese culture? Do you know the correct direction to read a Manga? Maybe it s a proper argument over Star Wars vs. Star Trek you enjoy. Who s your favorite Vocaloid, Miku? Or is cosplay your thing? If you have the correct answers to any of these questions, then the Anime club is for you th, 7 th, and 8 th Art Club Mrs. Meyer Thursdays Location: Mrs. Meyer s Room (Room 29) Description:. Art club is a relaxing atmosphere where students can experience a variety of hands on projects that explore creativity, skill-building and personal expression. Students will be able to work with different materials including clay, printmaking, drawing and painting in order to create a work of art. Students creations have included clay tiles, juggling balls, flipbooks and portraits. This upcoming semester will include mural painting or mosaic, set design for the musical and more! th, 7 th, and 8 th Pep Band Mr. Kemp Thursdays Location: Mr. Kemp s Room (Room 118) Description: Do you enjoy fun, upbeat music? Do you play an instrument and love to pump up a crowd? Join the pep band! We will meet and learn songs to play during sports showcases. Show your spirit and have fun while learning new and fun music!

4 Morning ASA Sign-Up Sheets Sign-Up Sheets will be posted for all activities every Tuesday and Thursday morning. These sign-up sheets will be located in the back of the cafeteria. Teachers will be located near the sign-up sheets to assist students and to ensure that no one is locked out of an activity. They will also monitor who is not eligible to sign-up due to low grades, lack of permission slip, discipline, etc. Sign-Up sheets will be removed shortly after the start of the school day and sent to the teachers. Students who fail to sign-up for an activity in the AM will not be allowed to stay for ASAs. ASAP Rooms ASAP = After-School Activity Place Some students do not stay for After-School Activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In order to separate those students who are leaving from those who are staying, we ask that each team host their students temporarily in an ASAP Room after the 2:25 bell rings to release students from school. Students should head to their lockers BEFORE heading to the ASAP room. Students should remain in their ASAP Room until 2:30 so that halls can be cleared. After 2:30, they are free to move towards the location of their activity or club and must report there by 2:40. Below is the list of ASAP Rooms for each team: - Team 6A: Mrs. Parr - Team 6B: Ms. Harvell - Team 6C: Mrs. Drilling - Team 7A: Mrs. Moore - Team 7B/C: Mrs. Rivera - Team 8A: Mr. Macko - Team 8B: Mr. Goldman - Team 8C: Mrs. Krbec After School Activity Buses Students who stay for After-School Activities, and regularly ride a bus, will be offered transportation on our three After-School Activity Buses. There is a North Bus, a Central Bus and a South Bus, based on whether students live on the north-side or the south-side of St. Charles Rock Rd. Students must have ID to board the bus. Should students not have their ID, they must get a bus pass from the office. Please see the list of stops for our three After-School Activity Buses on the next page. Students who are not staying for an activity will NOT be allowed to access transportation on the After-School Activity Bus.

5 After-School Activities Permission Slip By signing this form, I agree to abide by the following rules: 1. Students must have a signed permission slip turned into the RMS office before they will be allowed to stay for any after-school activity. 2. Students must sign-up for their activity in the morning and cannot stay if they fail to do so. 3. Students planning on staying for after school activities must first report to their ASAP (After-School Activity Place) Room 4. Students not riding the bus home will need to make prior arrangements to either walk or be picked up at 4:00. These arrangements should be made as soon as possible. 5. Students who leave school grounds are not allowed to return to school for after-school activities or to ride the bus home. 6. Students who are removed from an after-school activity for disruptive or inappropriate behavior may be permanently banned from that activity. Students who are removed from multiple activities may be permanently banned from all after-school activities. 7. Students with failing grades at Progress Report or Report Card time will be prohibited from ALL activities (except for Homework Huddle or Algebra Help) until their grades are brought up to passing.
