1 Saving Money By Using the Library Let the library save you money this holiday season with our holiday gift guide featuring free resources available to you if you hold an Allen Park library card! Before you go online to purchase magazine subscriptions or ebooks, take a look below for information on how you can access these items for FREE! Magazines: Cut the cost of purchasing magazine subscriptions to popular periodicals by using our Zinio service! All you need is a username and password. Allen Park Public Library Off the Shelf Issue 12 December 2015 ebooks: Having an Allen Park library card gives you access to thousands of ebooks on Overdrive & Odilo, which can be downloaded to mobile devices! Audiobooks: Audiobooks can cost hundreds of dollars. Download them free to your iphone, ipod or other music device by using Overdrive. The library also owns a large collection of CD and MP3 audiobooks which can be checked out with a library card. DVDs & CDs: The library s collection of DVDs & CDs is extensive! Save money by checking them out (3 per family) instead. If we don t have something you want, we most likely can put a copy on hold from another library. Museum Passes: Give the gift of knowledge this holiday season by taking advantage of our MAP program. Using a library card, you can check out passes & gain free admission to local museums and cultural institutions! Books: We wouldn t be a library if it weren t for the thousands of books we own!
