1 Supplier Diversity Newsletter Collaboration that supports Innovation Welcome to the AT&T Supplier Diversity Newsletter. We are excited to share with all of our colleagues important information about our corporate Supplier Diversity program and highlight the work that many of you do every day to make our program a success. We would like to welcome our new associates from DIRECTV and we are looking forward to working with you to drive ever greater opportunities to engage diverse businesses. We understand that diverse businesses add value to our company through their perspectives and fresh ideas. By identifying and promoting diverse businesses, we re able to deliver world-class products and services that meet our customers needs. In This Issue Fall 2015 Issue 1 Welcome Quarterly Results Leadership Spotlight Supplier Profiles Recognition Calendar of Events Our team provides support to AT&T Supply Chain to identify, vet and refer diverse businesses (Minority, Women, Service Disabled Veteran and LGBT-owned) for AT&T direct contracts and to our prime contractors for subcontract opportunities. Our commitment to Supplier Diversity is real. We ve set one of the most aggressive supplier diversity goals in the industry to reach 21.5% of our total spend with certified diverse businesses. We achieved our goal in 2014 with a total spend of $16.5 billion, which represented 27.45% of our corporate spend. The corporate results for second quarter are below: AT&T 2nd Quarter Corporate Results AT&T Corporate Supplier Diversity Goal Supplier Diversity % of Total Spend Minority Owned Business (MBE): 15% 19.25% Women Owned Business (WBE): 5% 5.46% Service Disabled Owned Business: 1.5% 0.77% GOAL: 21.5% 25.48% We look forward to working with our leaders and associates to continue building upon this success. 2 Business Unit Spotlight Cathy Martine - Dolecki President, AT&T Enterprise Business Solutions When we think about the term Supplier Diversity champion, the name Cathy Martine - Dolecki immediately comes to mind. Cathy and her team epitomize leadership and results when it comes to engaging diverse firms. Cathy s team has produced impressive results that exceed 40% diverse spend against the 21.5% goal. Most recently, the team has worked to engage more Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses in their supplier portfolio while encouraging larger primes to engage as well. Additionally, Cathy contributes her time to supporting events with organizations like the US Small Business Administration, the Women s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE). Supply Chain Spotlight Stephanie Pulliam AVP, Contract & Sourcing Operations Stephanie Pulliam is a tireless advocate for Supplier Diversity. Stephanie manages a team of contract and sourcing managers who direct contracting support for Human Resources, Executive & Legislative Affairs, Corporate Real Estate, Customer Care & Contact Centers, Advertising, Sponsorships, Print, Marketing and Research, Fleet, Finance, Credit & Collections, Travel, Flight Operations, Mail Services, Logistics and Professional Services & Consulting. For third quarter, Stephanie s team has produced diversity results of 21.35%. Part of the secret to their success is the consistency of engagement with the Supplier Diversity team with notifications of current opportunities and effective planning to prevent unexpected downturns. Stephanie and the team are also actively involved in outreach activities to meet certified diverse suppliers and will go the extra mile to conduct follow-up meetings.
