1 T-503-G New Concept for Royal Canadian Navy Damage Control Operations Jan Pol Biography Jan Pol graduated from the Hogere Technische School Enschede, the Netherlands with a degree in Computer Science ( 84, BSc). After working in medical imaging, process automation and warehouse automation, he pursued a career in ship automation. In 1991, he joined Imtech as a technical project team member for the Netherlands Multi-purpose Frigates and Walrus submarines projects. In 1996, he was promoted to Systems Engineer and became progressively instrumental in the design of the Royal Netherlands Navy Air Defence and Command Frigate (ADCF) Human-Machine Interface and the Advisory Functions. In 2001, he joined CAE Inc., now L-3 Communications MAPPS Inc., in Montreal and continued to work on the ADCF, though this time in the senior role of Technical Lead. In this same capacity, he worked on the German Navy Corvette K130 IMCS program from 2004 to Jan is currently finishing his work as the Technical Lead for the Royal Netherlands Navy s Land Based Platform Trainer ADCF.
