3 Concrete examples of CNFA s work: In Africa, CNFA created an agrodealer network to improve smallholder access to improved inputs, services, financing and marketing opportunities. Since 2007, CNFA has trained and certified over 7,000 agrodealers in 5 countries 3.15 million farmers benefiting $170 million in inputs sold through agrodealers Farmer-to-Farmer Program CNFA send expert volunteer consultants to over a dozen countries in Africa, Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia Since 1992, over 1,800 volunteers have leveraged over $10 million in professional services. Since 2008, FTF has benefited more than 1.1 million people Improving processing, marketing, competitiveness and export promotion in Eastern Europe: Georgia: supporting the development of 8,000 rural enterprises Georgia: creating 25 machinery service centers Kosovo: improving high-value agriculture in export markets and promoting HACCP and GLOBALGAP.

7 CNFA s Response Afghanistan Farm Service Alliance Building one-stop shop businesses called Farm Service Centers Afghanistan: Alliance of Farm 34 total Service provinces, Centers CNFA beginning presence to in 17 provide services to members and progressively merging toward a franchise system Selected results: 17 remaining provinces AFSA Phase I: 7 provinces AFSA Phase II: 10 provinces Over $25 million in inputs sold through FSCs The first FSC focused on women For every dollar invested by the project, $42 is invested by grantees Limited land for production Low agricultural productivity Limited access to agricultural inputs Improved diets
