Speakers Profile Mr. Vijay Kapur - Director, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. New Delhi. India Mr. Vijay Kapur, joined the educational wing of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 1983 as a faculty in the core area of Auditing. Currently, Mr. Kapur is Member, Executive Council of National Foundation for Corporate Governance established by the Government of India since inception. Recently, Mr. Kapur has been a part of the Report on Implementation of Accounting Standards for Educational Institutions prepared on behalf of Ministry of Human and Resource Development, Govt. of India. He contributed extensively in bringing out the ICAI s publications, namely, Second Volume of the History of Accountancy Profession of India and Accounting Profession and Economic Development in India. He also assisted Rakesh Mohan Committee on Financial Sector Assessment set up by the Reserve Bank of India. A prolific writer, he has written two books on Commerce for school students and contributed extensively in the area of auditing and corporate governance. He has participated in the meetings of International Auditing & Assurance Standards Board and International Accounting Education Standards Board of IFAC and UNCTAD held for review and revision of international standards. Dr. S K Gupta - Director, The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Kolkata, India. Dr. S.K. Gupta is a Post Graduate in Commerce (Gold Medalist), FCS, ACMA, Ph.D (Corporate Governance). He has over 32 years of corporate experience with reputed organizations including ONGC, DCM, Samtel and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with exposure in the areas of Finance, Costing, Audit, Legal, HR and Training, Strategic Management and Company Secretarial Functions in leadership positions. He has been a Visiting Faculty at various Business schools for over two and a half decades handling courses in Finance, Costing, Quantitative techniques and Legal Aspects. He has addressed a large number of national and international conferences / seminars and has conducted several Management Development Programs for numerous leading Indian companies. Currently he is Director at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Mr. Gopal Mondal - Director (Finance & Company Secretary). IDFC Foundation (wholly owned subsidiary of IDFC Ltd.). New Delhi Mr. Gopal Chandra Mondal is currently Director (Finance, Accounts and Company Secretary) in IDFC Foundation, India. Mr. Mondal is an associate member of The Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI), The Institute of Costs Accountants of India (ICAI) and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK. Mr. Mondal published several research papers in reputed journals e.g. Chartered Secretary and Management Accountant. He is an invited speaker in reputed organizations across India. Dr. D. K. Batra - Director, Asia Pacific Institute Management, New Delhi Dr. D K Batra is director of Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi. Dr. Batra is Ph.D. in Management and M.B.A. (Marketing) from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He graduated in B. Tech. (Textile Tech.) from Technological Institute of Textiles, MD University. He has also attended the Summer Semester Programme at FIT, NewYork University. He has also been a U.N.D.P. Research Fellow to the EU & Brazil in the Product Development Area and has been earlier to University of East London, UK as a UNDP Fellow. Prior, he has worked as Director and Vice-President (New Projects), Netaji Subhash Institute of Management Sciences. He has also worked as Senior Professor and Programme Director, PGDM (International Business management), FORE School of Management.
