2 Training and Certification Requirements Training requirements graduation from a 6 yr medical school program and one year of internship at a hospital recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare Graduation from a 4 yr university and a 4 yr graduate school with one year of internship at a hospital recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare

4 Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinical Training Hospital Criteria No. of staff professors: N-2 No. of admitted/discharged patients, outpatient no. No. of operations Establishment of necessary facilities for training Acquirement of necessary tools and equipment for surgical procedures, etc. (lasers, microscope ) Establishment of plastic/reconstructive surgery seminars, meetings, study programs, and microsurgical programs Establishment of necessary references and textbooks Participation in annual meetings Publication and presentation of papers Establishment and protection of medical records

5 Certification requirement One year of internship Four years of residency all at a hospital designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare as a training institution
