WHAT Complete the CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care with Royal College of Healthcare, an industry leader in aged and healthcare training. This is a nationally recognised qualification that gives you the skills to work in residential aged care or home and community care. 2 Course content The CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care will consist of the following 14 units of competency. The accredited training will be complemented by a program of learning and work readiness support, to help participants complete the Certificate II and successfully transition into employment. It will cover topics such as: Australian workplace culture Workers rights and responsibilities Employability skills How to look for work Work/life balance Job application support Communication in the workplace Learning and work readiness support will be offered in a group format as well as one-on-one. Eligibility criteria The Aged Care program is a Community Work Skills project funded under the Queensland Government s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative. To be eligible for participation in this program, you must be: a Queensland resident; aged 15 years or older; an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident (including a humanitarian entrant), a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen. The Aged Care program primarily targets individuals who are: ineligible for Australian Government employment services or assistance (e.g., from Jobactive or Disability Employment Services providers); or require complementary services because they have significant barriers to learning and employment; or have accessed Australian Government services (e.g., through Centrelink and/or Jobactive or DES providers) for more than six months and remain unemployed. 6 H. Declaration Acacia Ridge & Districts Community Centre collects the above requested information for the sole purpose of delivering the Aged and Home & Community Care program. The Centre will keep this information, and any additional information and/or supporting documentation you may be asked to provide, to meet the requirements of its Skilling Queenslanders for Work Services Agreement with the Queensland Government. The Centre will treat your personal details confidentially and store them securely in line with organisational policies and procedures. It will not share any of your information, except for program progress reporting to the Department of Education and Training or as otherwise required under its Services Agreement, or with your express approval to provide you with job search and other relevant assistance. Acacia Ridge & Districts Community Centre is partnering with the Royal College of Healthcare (RCH) for the delivery of the accredited training component of this program. RCH will separately gather information and supporting evidence from all program participants to formally enrol them in the training in line with all applicable rules and regulations.
