They were able to hear directly from business leaders and learn leadership lessons they could put to immediate use. Of those attending, 19 out of 20 would return again. We know there are more students who could benefit from this exceptional program, but we also know that as business school and personal budgets tighten, lack of funds could keep some from attending. This year we are introducing Scholarship Sponsors to cover the cost of attending the 2016 Global Leadership in the hopes that we can expand the numbers of students and schools participating. $1,000 US Student Scholarship $2,000 International Student Scholarship Scholarship Sponsor support can be purchased separately or in combination with any other sponsorship level. 5 Appendix A Podium Guidelines Beta Gamma Sigma wants to engage sponsors in providing a quality professional development experience for the collegiate students attending the Global Leadership. Student feedback in the past has been that they find the most value in speakers who add to their body of knowledge on relevant topics. Therefore, Beta Gamma Sigma asks of its sponsors speaking from the podium to refrain from sales pitches about their company and instead focus on broader subjects relevant to the student audience, especially emerging and relevant trends in business and leadership development. Sample topics relevant to the GLS attendees are: Equality in the Workplace: Lessons in Leadership Share how your company has instilled a commitment to equality at all levels of the organization, and what the lessons in leadership have been from that journey. Lessons for Expatriates: What to Consider Before Accepting the Overseas Assignment What lessons has your company learned from placing new graduates into overseas assignments and what are the takeaways for today s graduates in terms of assuring a successful overseas assignment? (Remarks should address both overseas students coming to the US and US students going overseas). Learning How to Be an Adaptable, Nimble Leader Leaders in the coming decades will be "trisector athletes," capable of engaging, collaborating, and driving outcomes across all realms. How has your company become a system leader? How have you catalyzed change across networks where there is often no formal control? What can today s graduates do now to prepare to be a nimble leader? The New Corporate Social Impact Social impact and social responsibility are more important than ever to today s graduates and emerging leaders. How is your company using transparency and tools to further its social impact? What is your advice for this new generation of leaders in their journey to enhance corporate social impact?
