Call Functionality Place Calls The Dial pad icon displays a dial pad and a text field used to enter numbers. The dial pad is one of the options used to make audio calls. There are two buttons below the dial pad: Call and Dial that are configurable by the service provider. The top text field also has a delete button that, when pressed, deletes one character at a time. A badge notification appears on the Dial pad tab when there are messages in the voic box. A long press on the 1 digit connects you to the voic box. When there is no voice mail in your voic box, no notification badge is shown. Figure 15. Dial Pad Use the following steps to make an audio call using one of the following methods: 1. 22 Call Functionality Answer Call An incoming call is indicated by a ringtone. There are two options on the incoming call screen: Answer and Decline. If you decline the call, it causes the line to sound busy at the caller s end and they know that you rejected the call. If you are in the middle of a call and receive an incoming cellular call, put the call on hold before you answer. If the ios device (iphone or ipad) is locked and there is incoming call, you will see a notification on the locked screen, accompanied with an alerting sound and vibration. The sound plays multiple times; however, the vibration alert sounds only once. If the device is in silent mode, there is no sound played with the notification, only a single vibration. Note: Third-party apps on ios can only issue a single vibration associated with a notification. Figure 16. Answer Call screen and Screen When Locked When the screen is in the locked condition and you receive an incoming call, follow the sequence of instructions on the phone to answer the call. 18 IP Centrex Mobile App for iphone User Guide

Call Functionality Contact Name Lookup for Incoming Calls and Call Logs Whenever the incoming call does not have a calling name associated with it, IP Centrex App for iphone can perform a local contact search. If the number matches one of the contacts on the mobile phone Contacts list, the name is shown on the incoming Call screen along with the alert. When you retrieve your call logs/history and the call log does not have a calling name associated with it, the App does a lookup in the local contacts and populates the name if a match is found. Call Waiting You can have two active calls simultaneously if you have Call Waiting turned on. When you receive a new incoming call and accept it, the existing call is put on hold. You can toggle between the two calls when you select the desired caller you wish to speak to first by touching their name/number. You can also create a 3-way call by tapping Merge. To end one of the two calls, select that caller and touch End Call. Figure 18. Call Waiting 20 IP Centrex Mobile App for iphone User Guide

N-Way Calling (Conference) Call Functionality IP Centrex App for iphone supports network SIP-based conference calls with up to three additional participants. While on a two-way call, you can add a third party by using the Conference button. It opens the address book on the device to search for and select the new participant. Once the conference is established, the participants are shown on the Device screen. The other way to create a Conference call or to add participants to an existing Conference is to make a second new call and then select the Merge option. (See Figure 18.) Figure 19. Add Person to Conference Call Figure 20. Conference option Tap the menu at the bottom right of the screen to get to the Conference option. IP Centrex Mobile App for iphone User Guide 21

After the new call is established, the first call is put on hold. You can also swap the two calls or merge them into a conference. Call Transfer The App supports transferring VoIP calls to another party. Two modes of transfer are supported: Attended Transfer Establish a call with a remote party. Select a contact then choose a number. Select the call first option. If you have an active call on the desk phone, then this call can be transferred seamlessly to the mobile phone using the Call Pull button. There is no interruption to the voice call. Figure 22. Call Pull IP Centrex Mobile App for iphone User Guide 23

Call Functionality Call Park The Call Park feature allows you to put a call on a parked against extension. The parked caller is placed on hold until someone retrieves the call (see Figure 22). If the call is not retrieved within the provisioned recall time, then the call is sent back to the original person who parked the call. Figure 23. Parked Call Bluetooth Support You can perform audio calls from a compatible Bluetooth headset. The System Requirements section in the IP Centrex App for iphone for Desktop and Mobile Product Guide lists the headsets have been tested, although other Bluetooth devices should also work. Mid-Call Controls for Circuit-switched Business Calls IP Centrex App for iphone provides mid-call control services for business circuit-switched calls that are anchored at MyAccount. This functionality is available for: Incoming circuit-switch calls delivered to the mobile phone via Mobility or Remote Office location. Supported mid-call control services are: Hold/Resume. The troubleshooting function can be used if there are issues encountered with the App. It collects and sends diagnostic information to a predefined support address that is configurable via the branding process. This helps support personnel identify the issues. The information sent consists of the app and media engine diagnostic logs. Troubleshooting is managed by a menu entry in Settings. It can be accessed from two places in the App: From the Settings button on the Sign In screen this opens the screen that contains the help and troubleshooting-related entries. This can be used before the user has signed in, which is most often for cases when a user has issues with signing in or with connectivity. From the Preferences screen, accessible from the side navigation this is available while the user is logged in. Figure 40. Troubleshooting screen Automatic Sign In You can choose to sign in automatically with IP Centrex App for iphone with a default account when it is launched to avoid having to sign in manually and remember your username and password. Remember Password Activate this feature to avoid having to re-enter your IP Centrex App for iphone when you want to launch the App. Caller ID Lookup When there is an incoming call, the IP Centrex App for iphone matches it by searching in the contact list, local address book, and company directory. Version screen Privacy Management IP Centrex App for iphone supports authentication with a user name and password for different services and servers requiring authentication. For convenience, the end user can save a user name and password for different realms. Firewalls and NATs The IP Centrex App for iphone supports rport (RFC 3581) to prevent Network Address Translation (NAT) and for attempting to use the App behind a firewall.
