7 HIT: the first hydrogen project within the TEN-T programme 1. Realised 3 hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) by Air Liquide (Rotterdam) and H2Logic (2 in DK) 2. National implementation plans for hydrogen in Denmark, France, the Netherlands and Sweden. 9 Discussing the perfect roadmap for hydrogen infrastructure roll-out Sweco (together with LBST and ECN) made the Synchronising implementation Plan in the HIT project, assigned by Ministry for Infrastructure of the Netherlands Some of the recommendations: Effective incentives on EU and national level needed Level playing field with equal benefits for all Zero Emission Vehicles needed Support to stations in period with too small hydrogen electric vehicles fleets 2015 map of existing and already financed hydrogen stations

10 Projections from HIT Synchronising implementation Plan Stations will often develop in larger cities and thereby align with corridors Changing policies and regulations in favour for hydrogen and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) on EU and national levels is hard and goes slow Already now one can identify cities and regions that truly want to be front runners on Zero Emission Vehicles and thus open for hydrogen and FCEV Local demand/circumstances are main drivers behind the realistic 2020 map These facts laid the basis for the initiation of the HIT-2-Corridors project 2020 map of hydrogen stations network with very high probability of being realised

15 Evolution of a European hydrogen refuelling station network by mobilizing the local demand and value chains Studies to map locally available pathways for hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and establish the provision of hydrogen for real life tests Build new stations in Riga LV, Pärnu EE and Arnhem NL and plan for additional refuelling capacity for these cities Trolley buses with fuel-cell range extenders, hydrogen buses and cars will be tested at the stations, and further growth of fleets by engaging local and regional actors in building the business case throughout the value chain

16 COHRS-project - Connecting Hydrogen Refuelling Stations Construct and operate 20 new Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS) in Germany (17) and Austria (3) Along TEN-T corridors in Germany and Austria ( connecting stations) HRS monitoring and costumer surveys Optimized business plan for larger HRS investments Strategy for expansion into other EC countries along the TEN-T corridors

17 EAS-HyMob Studying, optimizing and testing the conditions for hydrogen mobility to be competitive in Northern France Design of innovative and client-oriented commercial offerings, new business models, techno-economic analyses, environmental and societal impact analyses Phased deployment of cost-effective refuelling stations (15 kg/j (12 stations) and 50 kg/j (3 stations) to address hydrogen distribution needs of captive fleets of BEV with HFC-range extenders, through a grant scheme
