3 The Event this year includes the 30th Anniversary of the Milbrodale Mountain Classic The Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association (HVORRA) proudly presents the annual Milbrodale Mountain Classic Off Road Racing event held on private property at Milbrodale (25kms south of Singleton on the Putty Rd). This Event has become a premier event on the Australian Off Road Racing calendar. It is a round of the NSW Off Road Championship, NSW Long Course Series and NSW Tri Challenge Series. The event has become a prestigious race with many competitors seeking the Man of the Mountain title awarded to the fastest single lap of the 96km long course heat. The sport of Off Road Racing consists of nine classes of vehicles: Pro Buggy Prolite Buggy Super 1650 Buggy Sportsman Buggy Performance 2WD Extreme 2WD Production 4WD Extreme 4WD UTV Buggies with engines not exceeding 6000cc Buggies up to 3500cc (naturally aspirated) Buggies with engines between 1330cc / 1650cc Buggies with engines not exceeding 1330cc Modified 2WD with engine not exceeding 6000cc petrol or 7200cc diesel Highly Modified 2WD with engine not exceeding 6000cc petrol or7200cc diesel Production 4WD with engine not exceeding 6000cc petrol or 7200cc diesel Highly Modified 4WD with engine not exceeding 6000cc petrol or 7200cc diesel Utility Terrain Vehicles with engines not exceeding 1200cc The weekend of racing is jam packed full of racing action for spectators as the race course wraps around the spectator area. This event has a great family atmosphere with many activities over the weekend including Off Road Racing action, Jumping Castles, Helicopter Rides, face painting and more. The event is well supported by the local community, with the Milbrodale School, Bulga Community Centre and Bulga Bush Fire Brigade assisting with the event throughout the weekend. With the help of our sponsors and volunteers we raise money over the weekend for CanTeen, Witmore Enterprises Inc and Simply Loving Taylor Inc. This event continues to be a huge success and HVORRA has raised much needed funds to assist charities. We anticipate another very successful event this year. The event is conducted under the guidelines of the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) and the Department of Sport & Recreation. In 2015 we had 76 competitors start the race and over 2,000 spectators. Page 3
