7 Installation Installation Before Installing the Software 1.Make sure your PC has DirectX 9.0c or above installed. 2.Use the the enclosed software CD. 3.Run Setup.exe, which is included on the SecuGuard series Software CD. Starting the Installation Step 1. The Installation Wizard will start. Select the language that you want to use between installation. 6

8 Installation Step 2. The License Agreement window will open next. Click I Agree to continue. 7

9 Installation Step 3. Select the SecuGuard Basic, then click Next button. Step 4. The Choose Destination Location window will open next. Select the folder you wish to intall SecuGuard Basic to, and then click on Next to continue. 8

10 Installation Step 5. The Installation Wizard Complete window will open next. Click on Close to complete the installation. 9

11 Install IP Camera(s) Quick Start Quick Start Step 1 : Setup the IP camera(s) following by the instruction manual provided by the manufacturer. Step 2 : Check the network between the IP camera(s) and the system. Step 3 : Add the IP camera(s) to the system following below steps. Add IP Camera(s) Step 1 : Click the Start All Programs SecuGuard Mainconsole. Step 2 : Key-in User name and password to login SecuGuard (default User name is admin without password) Checked the Remember User for next time login system will auto fill the User field by login account this time. 10

12 Quick Start Step 3 : Click System setup Step 4 : Select Camera page and key-in camera s information, then click Add button. 11

13 Camera information: Quick Start Please confirm the Vendor and Model setting is the same with camera, or may cause the camera not functional. If you need change the Camera Parameters, click button. Select the Codec and resolution, connect protocol and streaming port for current connection. Checked the Enable Audio if you need to receive Audio streaming data. If you need record audio with record file, you must checked Enable Audio and Enable Audio Record both. 12

14 Quick Start Step 5 : Click the Search button for search the camera(s) were installed in local LAN, wait for search complete then select the cameras that you need, and click OK button for finish add camera job. Step 6 : Confirm all inserted camera s setting parameter. Step 7 : Click OK button. Step 8 : Now you can preview live stream at main page. 13

15 Quick Start Configuration of schedule recording: Step 1 : Click Schedule Setup button. Step 2 : Select the Schedule type that you need. Daily mode : Setup each camera s recording time and type at every day. Weekly mode: Setup each camera s recording time and type at each weekday. Special day mode: Setup each camera recording time and type at assigned day. 14

16 Quick Start If the Special day schedule was set, when the time commit the special day setting, system will execute this special day setting immediately, even system has the same time period setting of daily or weekly schedule setup. Step 3 : Select one camera for schedule configuration. Step 4 : Select one of weekday for setup schedule(weekly mode) 15

17 Quick Start Step 5 : If you want to modify an exist schedule period, Select the period first from time period list or time period bar, or skip this step. Step 6 : Modify the time period from time-select control or drag the period bar below. Step 7 : After setting with time period, If you want to Add a new period, click Add button, or you want to modify exist period was selected, click the Edit button. 16

18 Quick Start Step 8 : Choose the Round-the-clock or Motion detection or DI detection record mode. Step 9 : If you select the Motion detection mode, you have to set the detection area, or use default setting. 17

19 Quick Start Add detection area: Click Add button, then drag a rectangle on the preview image. Remove detection area: Click Delete button, then drag a rectangle on the preview image. Recover to default area: Click the Default button. The red transparent area is detection area, otherwise will not be detected. Step 10 : DI Record Mode: 1. Select trigger recording from which DI input. 2. Set trigger recording depend on DI is open or close. 18

20 Quick Start Step 11 : Start schedule monitor. Click the Monitor button and checked the Start Monitor all or Start Monitor Schedule. 19

21 Playback Playback: Step 1 : Click Playback button to approach playback panel. Step 2 : Click Search button to approach search dialog. 20

22 Playback Step 3 : Click on the date that you want to search record file. Step 4 : Choose Record mode(s) that you need(round the clock, Motion, Alarm) Step 5 : Click Search button. 21

23 Playback Step 6 : System will displayed record file(s) status in list control below. Blue: Round the clock record file. Green: Motion detection record file. Red: DI triggered record file. Step 7 : Drag mouse cursor on the list control to select playback time period. Step 8 : Select the camera(s) to playback. System allowed maximum 16 cameras playback at once. 22

25 1. Main-console 1. Main-console This is the main control panel of system, to provide live stream preview, system setup, E-Map, schedule setup, playback, start or stop monitor, and PTZ controls. 26 1. Main-console 1.1 System status: System status Exit: Exit 1. Logout: Logout current User 2. Minimize: Minimize the Main-console to taskbar 3. Exit: Shutdown SecuGuard 4. Version: Display version number. System status: 1. System Date 2. System Time 3. Weekly day 4. Monitor status, if monitor stop, it will show nothing 5. Hard disk available free size These system status can configuration at system setting, please reference to Setup page. Hard Disk available free size has three color type, they means: 1. Green : normal 2. Yellow: recycle job executing 3. Red: System can t found available free size. 25

27 1. Main-console 1.2 Screen Division : Assign the preview screen to expected layout division by clicking these buttons. To switch to single camera display, double click on a particular sub-screen. Double click on the screen again to regain previous screen division layout. 28 1. Main-console 1.3 DI/O status : Display real-time status of focus camera s DI/O, and switch DO status by click DO button. Amount of DI/O button(s) depend on focus camera, it s changed with focus camera was changed. System was default set to NC status(normal close), so if DI status became to open, the icon will show as red light. DI is opening DI is closed When DO showed as, it means the DO is opening. If DO showed as, it means the DO is closed. You can click on the DO icon to change DO status. If after you click the DO icon, but the status doesn t changed, it means set new DO status to camera fail, please check network status or camera status. 27

29 1. Main-console 1.4 Operation with sub-screen: Define display camera(s) sequence : 1. To switch display sequence in sub-screen(s), press and hold mouse left button on source sub-screen, than drag to target sub-screen and release mouse left button. 2. To switch current sub-window to another camera, click mouse right button on the sub-screen, than choose the live camera you needed. 3. To remove camera display, click the mouse right button and click Remove Camera display on popup menu. 28

30 1. Main-console Digital Zoom at sub-screen : 1. Click mouse right button on sub-screen, and checked Digital Zoom. 2. Move mouse cursor to the position that you wanted to digital zoom-in. 3. Move mouse wheel forward until the image satisfied that you needed. 4. Move mouse wheel backward to digital zoom-out. 5. Press and hold mouse left button to drag the image at sub-screen to the position that you needed. 6. To cancel digital zoom mode, click mouse right button and un-checked Digital Zoom Switch to Full screen : 1. Click mouse right button and checked Full screen on popup menu to switch to Full screen. 2. Click mouse right button and un-checked Full screen on popup menu to switch to Full screen. 3. Click Esc button or un-checked Full screen on popup menu to return normal display mode Snapshot of sub-screen : 1. Click mouse right button and choose Snapshot on popup menu. 2. Configuration with the image by Snapshot dialog. 3. Click Save button and choose the folder that you wanted to save to. 29

31 1. Main-console Snapshot dialog: Bright : 100 = Maximum brightness, -100 = Maximum dark Contrast: 100 = Maximum strong with Contrast, -100 = Minimum value of Contrast. Grayscale: Click to switch image to grayscale mode. Sharp: Click Sharp button to increase image sharp level. Soft: Click Soft button to increase image soft level. Reset: Click Reset button to recover image to original image. Print: Click Print button to print out image to printer. Save: Click Save button to choose folder and file name to save. Close: Close Snapshot dialog Restore quad default : Reset division setting to default. 30

33 1. Main-console Start up config : Auto Start : Auto start Main-console when system boot-up. Auto moinitor all: Auto started monitor all when Main-console boot-up Auto Full Screen: Auto switch Full screen when Main-console boot-up. Minimized at started: Auto Minimized Main-console window when system boot-up. Auto login: Auto login when system boot-up, must set with Auto login config Language config : Click on the combo box of language, and select the language that you needed, system will change language immediately Auto scan : Set the screen rotation interval by seconds. 32

34 1. Main-console Storage config : 3. Click Add button to select a new record folder for recording work. 4. Click Delete button to remove selected record folder from list. 5. Click Move up and Move down button to change sequence of recording priority, Top of list is the first priority of recording work. 6. Set Keep space with MB, it means when the hard disk free space less than setting number, system will begin recycle work to kill oldest record file. 7. Must click Edit button after modified Keep space over value. 33

35 1. Main-console System status : Select status item(s) for display at system status window. Checked means this status will displayed at main-console status window, otherwise will display nothing. If Hide when minimized was checked, when set main-console minimized, the icon will move to system tray at left-down corner. Click the icon at system tray for restore main-console HDD status : The Main-console will display hard disk(s) free space by choose Show available size. And display percentage of free space in hard disk(s) by selected Show available percentage NxN Divison: Set the N of NxN division. When user click NxN division button, Main-console will divided the sub-screen(s) by this value. If this value is set to 1, the divided sub-screen(s) is one sub-screen, If this value is set to 2, the divided sub-screen(s) is four sub-screen, If this value is set to 3, the divided sub-screen(s) is nine sub-screens, And so on 34

36 1. Main-console Camera page at System setup dialog : Camera list : List all camera(s) installed at system, Displayed by camera index and camera name. Checked each camera for enable them, if you need to disable some camera(s), please un-checked it from the check box before camera name. 35

37 1. Main-console OSD Config : System could show several information on the sub-screen. Checked the check box before the information to enable displayed this information. The information displayed on the preview screen at left-upper corner immediately. Show Date: Display system date. Show Time: Display system time. Show Camera Name: Display this Camera name. Show Frame per second: Display the number of frame per second at this channel. Show Bitrate: Display the number of bit-rate per second at this channel Camera Config : Vendor: Select current Vender of this camera, If the selected Vender doesn t identical to the camera, this channel may not working correctly. 36

38 1. Main-console Model: Select current Model name of this camera, If the selected Model doesn t identical to the camera, this channel may not work correctly. Camera name: Set this channel s camera name for identify this camera in system. IP: Set this camera s IP. Port: Set this camera s HTTP port. User: Set the User name for this camera, The User name must have the authority to login this camera. Password: System use the User name and password to login this camera. Add button: Insert camera configuration to system. Delete button: Remove camera configuration from system. Edit button: Modify the configuration from system. Must click Edit button after modified camera s configuration, or the system will not saved modify configuration. 37

39 1. Main-console Search button: Click the Search button for search the cameras at local LAN, System will popup a dialog and display all found cameras in the list. Wait for search completed and checked the cameras that you need Search Page : Select all button: Auto checked all cameras that system found. Cancel all button: Auto un-checked all cameras that system found. OK button: Confirm all selected camera and return previous page. Cancel button: Cancel all action at this page, and return previous page. Config detail button: Click Config detail button to open web page for configuration with the camera. Camera parameter button: Click Camera parameter button to open setup camera more parameter page. 38

40 1. Main-console Channel parameter Page: Video Config: Video codec: Select the video codec that system will receive from camera. Resolution: Select the Resolution that system will receive from camera. PS. The codec and resolution capability is depend on camera. Network Config: Protocol: Select which protocol for system that uses to connect to camera. RTSP Port: Set RTSP port number for connect to camera. 39

41 1. Main-console Audio Config: Enable Audio: Set Audio enabled for receive audio streaming, If you need listen to live audio, This value must be enabled. Enable Audio Record: Enable this value for record audio data in recording file. PS. The Audio Record must Enabled with Enable Audio value both. OK button: Save the connecting configuration, and return previous page. Cancel button: Cancel all configuration at this page, and return previous page. 40

Main-console User Privilege : User Privilege tree control is defined user s privilege of each function of system, checked status means user can use this function, un-checked means user can t use this function. Main console: Main function of system, user must have this privilege or user will couldn t do anything with system. Start and Stop Monitor: This function is means user can start or stop system monitor work (schedule recording). Schedule Setup: The privilege of user can entry schedule setup page. System Setup: The privilege of user can entry system setup page. EMap: The privilege of user can execute E-Map function. Preview Quad control: The privilege of user can change divide of sub-screen. PTZ control: The privilege of user can control Pan, Tilt, Zoom function of camera. Playback: The privilege of user can playback history recorded file. Two way Audio: The privilege of user can enable talk with camera. Preview: The privilege of user can preview live streaming. Selected the camera(s) for this user can preview which live streaming. 42

44 1. Main-console Account list: Display all user s information of system. If you want to modify user s configuration or delete user, please click on the user name at list first. When you modified user s information (add, edit or delete), please confirm the data that you modified data is appeared at list. admin account: System administrator. logout account: When system in logout status, System will set privilege by the logout setting. 43

45 1. Main-console User config: Configuration of user s information. User : User name. Group: Select the group of user. The admin group default has all privilege of system, the user group default only has Main-console privilege. Password: The password of user for login system. Confirm password: Retype the password. Description: The description information of user. Disable User: Checked this check box for disable the user was selected,. Add button: Key-in user s information and checked user s privilege first, than click Add button for add new user to the list. Edit button: Click on the user name of the list first, then modify the data of user. After modified data, you must click the Edit button for confirm modify to list. Delete button: Click on the user name of the list, then click Delete button for remove user from list. 44

46 1. Main-console Address Book page at System setup dialog : Setting address book for send event mail,or query phone from here. Add address book record: Key-in contact information, then click the Add button. Delete address book record: Click on the row of contact list that you want to delete, then click Delete button. Edit address book record: 1. Select the record that you want to modify. 2. Modify the information, then click Edit button. Change photo of contact: Click the button blow of photo,then select a picture to change. 45

Main-console Mail page at System setup dialog : Configuration the information for sending event notice mail SMTP Setting: Key-in the SMTP server connection information for sending event notice mail. Server: SMTP provider IP address or DNS. Port: Mail Server s SMTP port. User Name: account. Password: From: Login SMTP server s user Login SMTP server s password. The From field of . Account Authentication: Secure Connection(SSL): Check this box for the SMTP server need authentication Connect to SMTP with SSL authentication. Send Test: Click Send test button for send a test mail. 46

48 1. Main-console Mail Content: Set the Subject and Body of send out mail Alarm Setting: Configuration the event notice mail s attach snapshot image rule. PreAlarm: PostAlarm: Set for how many snapshot image should be captured before event is triggered. Set for how many snapshot image should be captured after event is triggered. Snapshot interval: Send Interval: Set the interval betweens of each snapshot. Set the interval betweens of each send-out notice mail. Picture Temp Folder: Select a folder for store snapshot images, these image will delete at system shutdown. 47

50 1. Main-console Schedule mode : Select the schedule mode of system. The Daily mode and Weekly mode is exclusive of each other. Daily mode: Set schedule time slice by day. Weekly mode: Set schedule time slice by weekday Select camera of Daily mode : When you choose Daily mode or click on Daily tab of camera list tree, the tree control will display all camera installed of system. Click on the camera name that you want to modify, the schedule configuration of this camera will displayed at left of dialog. System default filled 00:00 to 23:59 round the clock recording setting, modify it for your own schedule. 49

Main-console Select weekday of Weekly mode : When you choose Weekly mode or click on Weekly tab of camera list tree, the tree control will display all camera installed of system and the weekdays as sub item. Click on the weekday of camera name that you want to modify, the schedule configuration of this camera s weekday will displayed at left of dialog. System default filled 00:00 to 23:59 round the clock recording setting, modify it for your own schedule Select camera of special day mode : When you click on Special Day tab of camera list tree, the tree control will display all special day defined of system and all the camera(s) installed of system as sub item. Click on the camera name below of the special day that you want to modify, the schedule configuration of this camera s weekday will displayed at left of dialog. System default filled 00:00 to 23:59 round the clock recording setting, modify it for your own schedule 50

52 1. Main-console Add and remove special day: If you want to add a new special day into system, choose a day from date-time picker control, then click the Add button. If you want to remove a special day from system, Click the special day on the tree control at right of dialog, then click the Delete button Add schedule time slice : You can define the time slice by several way, please reference as below: 3. Select begin time and end time from date-time picker control: Click on the hour section or minute section, then key-in the time value, or click the or to increase or decrease the time value. 4. Drag time slice bar from time bar table: Move mouse cursor to the empty zone at time bar table that you want to add, press and hold mouse left button, drag cursor to right until touch the end-time that you need, then release the left button of mouse. After drag action, a new gray window was show on the time bar table, and the window s left side means this slice s begin time, right side means end-time. The mouse cursor must be drag on empty zone, or add mission will not success. After time slice define complete, system will popup the Record Setup dialog, the description of this dialog, please reference Record Setup Page as below. 51

53 1. Main-console Modify schedule time period: Step 1 : Selected the Camera s name (daily mode) or weekday (weekly mode) from the tree control at left of dialog. Step 2 : Click on the slice in the list that you wanted to modify. The other way, you can click on the slice bar in the time bar control. Step 3 : Click on the hour section or minute section on the date-time picker control, then key-in the time value, or click the or to increase or decrease the time value. Or you can move mouse cursor to edge of slice bar in time bar control, then the cursor will become to, and drag the edge to the position that you need. Step 4 : After complete select the time period, click the Edit button for approach Record Setup dialog Remove schedule time slice : Step 1 : Selected the Camera s name (daily mode) or weekday (weekly mode) from the tree control at left of dialog. Step 2 : Click on the time period in the list that you wanted to modify. The other way, you can click on the time period bar in the time bar control Step 3 : Click the Delete button at right of dialog. 52

Main-console Record Setup Page : Record Mode : Round the Clock: When system time reach the schedule time period, system will begin recording work immediately and continually until the system time reach this period s end-time. Motion detection: When system time reach the schedule period and motion alarm was triggered, system will begin recording work immediately and continually until the system reach the post-alarm seconds. DI Detection: When system time reach the schedule period and DI alarm was triggered, system will begin recording work immediately and continually until the system reach the post-alarm seconds. If the pre-alarm second was set, when motion detection was triggered, the record data will include pre-alarm seconds by setting. 53

Main-console Record Setting : When set to Motion detection or DI detection record mode, you can set the pre-alarm second(s) at here, the recording file will keep the setting second(s) image before alarm was triggered. Set the Post-Alarm seconds for recording after the event was triggered Motion Config : Motion detect area: Default button: Select all image for motion detection. Add button : Drag a region on image first, than click Add button to add a new region. Delete button: Drag a region on the image, then click Delete button for remove the region that was selected. Sensitivity : Set sensitivity level for motion detection, Level 5 means highest motion detection sensitivity, otherwise, level 1 is the lowest level of sensitivity. Motion Interval: Set this value to define each time execute motion detection s interval. If set longer value means system will execute less times of motion detection in minutes, and use less CPU computing power. 54

56 1. Main-console Display Motion detection status: Checked the check box for display the areas were triggered motion detection. Preview window: Red areas are motion detection area. Otherwise areas are non-motion detection area. The yellow rectangles are motion detection triggered areas DI Record Setting : When you set the DI Record mode, Select the DI input from the combo box, and select the DI is open or close to trigger recording Complete Schedule Setting : Finished configuration job at schedule setting, must be click OK button to return main-console, if you want to abort this job, please click Cancel button. 55

57 1. Main-console 1.7 Start & Stop Monitor: Click Start & Stop Monitor button to control system monitor job. Start Monitor All: Checked for start all type of monitor job. Start Monitor Schedule: Checked for start the schedule recording job. If Start Monitor All is checked, system will execute all monitor job automatically. 56

58 1. Main-console 1.8 E-Map: Click E-MAP button to approach E-MAP dialog. E-MAP dialog: 57

59 1. Main-console Camera list: List all camera(s) is installed in system by camera index and name Add camera to Map: Drag camera name from camera list to the position of the Map. If the dragging camera is exist in Map, the cursor will become to, and not allow to add this camera Make camera to focus camera: Double click on the camera icon that you want to become focus camera. When the camera become to focus camera, system will popup a window to display camera s live preview image Move camera on Map: You can move the camera position by these ways as below. 1. Press mouse left button and hold on the camera that you want to move, then drag it to the position that you want. 2. Double click on the camera, make it become to focus camera, then click Move button. Default: Select whole image for detection. Check the Show Search Image for display the searching video, or un-checked this box for only display image on the event was found. Check the Show Detect Mark for display the detect result on the image with yellow rectangle. Select the Sensitivity for define the sensitivity of detection, high level value means the event will easy to triggered. Select the Detect Interval for define each detect job s interval time When the event was triggered, the window on the right will display the event s image, if the event is not you need, click the continue button to find next event. 79
