3 Information Management Policies Assessment for City Transportation Systems (IMPACTS) IMPACTS is an international network of European, North American and Latin American cities established as a forum for exchanging information about urban mobility and transportation policies. The diverse cities recognise that they share similar problems, and recognise the value in sharing information as they work toward their common vision of sustainable transportation solutions. IMPACTS is a federation of three organizations: IMPACTS Europe IMPACTS Europe is an association registered in France with its newly appointed Sectretariat located in the offices of MVA in London. The network brings together political decision makers from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Geneva, Göteborg, London, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna. IMPACTS North America IMPACTS North America was created in 1996 on the initiative of NACTO, the National Association of City Transportation Officials. The cities are typically represented by high-ranking transportation officials, who work directly with their Mayors and are responsible for proposing and implementing mobility strategies. IMPACTS America Latina IMPACTS America Latina was formed in The first conference was held in Quito. IMPACTS Europe through its member cities of Barcelona and Geneva provide assistance, and further collaboration between the European and Latin American cities is planned. Conference Registration & Help Desk The registration desk staffed throughout the conference is located in STEINSAAL II, next to the WAPPENSAAL conference room. It will open from 09:00 on Monday 13 March. Internet Café - connections are provided in the registration area for delegates. 6 Directions to the Conference Hotel We have reserved 50 rooms at the Josefshof Hotel in Vienna, breakfast included and have negotiated good rates, single 91 or double 111 payable when you leave the hotel. TINA Vienna will liaise with the hotel to confirm bookings. The rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis so please register early to avoid disappointment. We are planning a cocktail reception at the hotel on the Sunday evening. Directions to hotel From Westbahnhof Station: Take the underground line U3 (orange line) in the direction of Simmering travel 3 stations and change at Volkstheater. From here please take U2 (violett line) in the direction of Schottenring, please travel 1 stop and leave the train at Rathaus. Please cross the big street and turn left, on your right hand side you will find a small street called Josefsgasse. From the Airport Wien Schwechat: Please use the public transport (CAT, Airportbus or Schnellbahn) and drive to the city centre Landstraße/Wien Mitte. Here you can use the undergroundline U3 (orange line) in the direction of Ottakring, please travel 4 stations to Volkstheater. Please change to U2 (violett line) and travel 1 stop to Rathaus. Go out of the station, cross the big street and turn left. On you right hand site you will find a small street called Josefsgasse. There you will find the Hotel.
