1 Dear participant, We hereby send you additional information concerning the upcoming 28 th European ESVN- Congress which will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands Venue The congress will take place in the Royal Institute of the Tropen (KIT) Address details: KIT (Royal Tropical Institute) Amsterdam Mauritskade AD Amsterdam The Netherlands Registration The registration area in Congress Centre will be open for registration: Thursday 17 September 2015: hrs. Friday 18 September 2015: hrs. Saturday 19 September 2015: hrs The registration desk is located in the Hall Please pick up your badge, vouchers for the social events (if applicable) and congress bag and, if necessary, settle your registration payment. Payment Please make sure that your balance is settled prior to the congress. If you have made your payment recently, please bring a proof of your payment (from the bank) with you to the congress. You can pay on-site by credit card/pin or cash. Cheques and foreign currency are not accepted. The official currency at the congress is Euros. WIFI You will have WIFI access on-site in the congress centre. Cloakroom There is a un attended cloakroom available. However if possible we would kindly request to leave your luggage in the hotel. The cloakroom will close on Saturday at hrs. Lunch / coffee/tea break/exhibition Lunches and coffee/tea breaks during the congress will take place in the Hall Program The final programme is included in the congress bag, which you will receive during registration.

Scientific Information Oral presentations Please make sure to bring your PowerPoint presentation on USB drive to the congress and hand it in to a technician in the plenary room, the Grote Zaal. upon arrival, but at least half a day or 3 hours before your presentation. The technician will transfer the presentation to the PC. Video s have to be included in the presentation. All speakers and oral presenters, have to bring their presentation on USB. The technician is situated on the balcony, next to the entrance of the Grote Zaal You can reach the balcony by using the stairs in the Grote Zaal. Please note that it will take some time if you use your own laptop. The technician is available at Thursday during registration from and on Friday and Saturday from hrs. Poster presentations Posters will be displayed throughout the meeting at the 1 st Floor in the Rotonde The posters are divided per topic. Participants selected to give a poster presentation are required to attend their poster to answer questions during the poster-viewing sessions. All topics, titles, abstract numbers are displayed on the poster boards. The size of the posterboards is: 125cm width, 150 cm high. It is possible to mount your poster from Thursday hrs. Please remove your poster before the end of the conference on Saturday afternoon. 3 Social programme 1. Welcome Reception Thursday 17 September 2015,19:00 21:00 uur Artis Zoo, KONINGSZAAL. Please note: this is not the main entrance of Artis Zoo, The entrance of Artis Zoo is closed. Plantage Middenlaan 41, Amsterdam Guided Tour Artis: The guided tour will take minutes and will start at hrs. After hrs. it is not possible anymore to have a guided tour. The tour will end at hrs. Drinks and small snacks will be served in the Koningszaal. 2. Congress dinner Friday 18 September 2015, hrs. The seated congress dinner will take place in the Wintergarden of Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. If you registered and you have paid for this evening you will receive a ticket during registration. The dance party is open for everybody but drinks are at your own account. 6 Tram Trams are ideal for short journeys around the city centre, as well as for travelling to other districts. The Royal Tropical Institute is easy reachable by several trams. It's possible to use an OV-chipkaart on the tram. Metro Amsterdam's metro system radiates from Central Station to the city's outer districts. While not very useful for the city centre, it's the fastest way to reach districts like the Bijlmer, Amstelveen and Diemen. It's possible to use an OV-chipkaart on the metro. Bus Amsterdam's extensive bus network will take you nearly anywhere you want to go. Just like the train, tram and metro it is possible to use an OV-chipkaart on the bus.
