1 Villanova University Affiliation Program Physical Therapy Affiliate Program In conjunction with Thomas Jefferson University's College of Health Professions, Villanova University offers students considering a career in Physical Therapy the possibility of completing both the Bachelor of Science in Biology or Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in six years. Students spend their first three years on Villanova's campus where they will study along with other Villanova students, majoring in either Biology or Psychology. After having completed all the Liberal Arts/Humanities core curriculum courses, all of the pre-requisites for physical therapy school admission, and most of the major s curriculum requirements, the students will move to Thomas Jefferson University College of Health Sciences campus in the fourth year where the first-year professional school courses will also be given credit at Villanova for completion of the Bachelor s degree. Students who matriculate into the program are also required to meet the following conditions during the Villanova portion of their program: 1. Students must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of Students must receive a grade of C or better in all physical therapy school pre-requisite courses (a C- is less than a C). Failure to meet these minimum requirements may result in release from the program.

Villanova will grant AP credit for students who achieve a score of 4 or 5 on the AP exam. A list of exams can be found in the Liberal Arts & Sciences publication Enchiridion. 4th semester credits will be completed at Thomas Jefferson University and then transferred to Villanova to complete the requirements for an undergraduate degree from Villanova.

In addition to General Biology I and II, students must complete Genetics, Comparative Anatomy with lab, and Animal Physiology with lab as required courses for TJU admission.
