4 How to Demonstrate the Device When demonstrating the video capabilities of the device, use a familiar surface (A business card or a closed fist work well) Aim at a target and use the roller to focus Press the camera button to capture an image 4

12 FAQ s Common questions from previous tradeshows Q. Is your software compatible with my EMR system? A. Yes, the image files can be imported Q. What is the warranty? A. 1 year. We swap out the device. (Warranty return rate is very low.) Q. How long does the battery last? A. 2.5 hours on a charge. Can be charged via a USB charger or a laptop. Like most rechargeable batteries, it has about a 3 year lifespan. We can install a new battery for a customer. (A customer should not try to do this themselves.) Q. I don t have a computer, can I still use this? A. Absolutely. We have a wireless TV kit which allows a person to see a live stream. (Images cannot be taken) 12

13 FAQ s Cont. Q. Do you have any smaller specula? A. 4mm is currently the smallest specula we offer. Q. Do you work on Thin clients? A. Thin client support depends on the client systems that are being used. Please have the customer s IT manager contact us to discuss feasibility Q. Will it interfere with my wireless/bluetooth? A. It will not Because we developed our own networking capabilities the device does not require troubleshooting or access to current wireless networks. Q. When will you have Mac support? A. Mac version of our software has been released in July. Q. What about tablet computers? A. It works on all Microsoft tablets, except Microsoft Surface, and ipad support will require different hardware, which is in development. 13

15 Part 2 How to Use the DE551 Checklist for success Insert the receiver into a USB slot and wait for the computer to recognize the device (1.) Double click the Firefly Pro icon on the desktop (2.) Turn on the device (3.)

16 Checklist for Success Ensure the viewing circle on the screen is centered. This means the speculum is attached properly 16

18 Checklist for Success To get maximum wireless performance Don t cover the back of the DE551 That is where the antenna is located. Hold it like a pencil, with either your finger or your thumb on the Focus Roller. The Receiver should be exposed If the receiver is covered, or is in an enclosed space, wireless signal strength could be hindered. 18

20 Checklist for Success When preparing to take a picture, rest the speculum on a steady surface. This will eliminate shaking and improve image quality 20

22 Checklist for Success Pictures taken with the DE551 will show up in the Image View Bar (1) Note If you do not see the Image View Bar, it can be enabled under Tools (2)

23 Checklist for Success Right clicking on an image in the Image View Bar will display three options. Measure is for more traditional microscope applications, but you can also Delete the image from here or click Save As to rename the image. 23
