1 DOCUTAH - SOUTHERN UTAH S INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL 100-WRD DESCRIPTION- DOCUTAH IS AN INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FILMDOCUTAH is an international documentary film festival which garners high quality submissions worldwide. It is one of the few universitysponsored, documentary only film festivals in the United States. The 2014 festival featured 67 films representing 45 countries. Its mission is to create a world-class festival that celebrates the documentary form by showcasing films to educate, enlighten, inform and entertain. As part of Dixie State s academic component, DOCUTAH offers master class seminars and filmmaker panels where students and amateur and professional filmmakers can discuss and advance their skills in the art of filmmaking. Moviemaker Magazine named DOCUTAH one of the 25 Best Film Festivals to attend and in just five years, it has become one of the documentary festivals worth submitting to and attending in the cadre of festivals for the genre. The Sponsor agrees to the appropriate sponsorship fee marked below in exchange for the corresponding advertising and promotional considerations described in the DOCUTAH Sponsorship Kit. 5 LIMITATION ON DAMAGES: In no event will DSU or any DOCUTAH sponsor or other participant be liable to the sponsor for any special, incidental, or consequential damages, whether based on breach of this agreement, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, whether or not DSU or the above mentioned sponsor have been advised of the possibility of such damage. PRESERVATION OF IDENTITY: The Sponsor understands that all of the intellectual property of the DOCUTAH film festival is owned by DSU and further agrees to include the DSU and DOCUTAH logos/url in all advertising related to the DOCUTAH event including national or local print publications, on-property signage, flyers, table tents, the Sponsor s own website, etc. The Sponsor also agrees to reference this film event covered by this agreement as DOCUTAH-Southern Utah International Documentary Film Festival and further agrees NOT to use similar reference in any other promotional activity without prior written approval by DSU. The Sponsor further agrees not to show any icons, logos, URLs, or addresses related to DOCUTAH other than its own or those provided by DOCUTAH, on any advertisements, products, web sites, etc., controlled by the Sponsor during the period of this agreement without prior written approval by DSU. PRICING: All pricing of the DOCUTAH Film Festival and all components thereof will be governed by DSU whether printed or electronically available for either Sponsors or the general public. GOVERNING LAW: This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah and any dispute shall first be subject to arbitration in Washington County. ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This Agreement together with any and all exhibits, attachments, etc. is the complete agreement between the parties, and replaces any and all prior agreements, communications, and understandings (both written and oral) regarding DOCUTAH. MODIFICATION: This Agreement may only be modified, or any rights thereunder waived, by a written document executed by both parties. PAYMENT: Payment for the amount selected is due upon signing and checks are payable to Dixie State University. 5
