1 PRACTICAL INFORMATION FOR DELEGATES THIRTY-FOURTH PLENARY (TRIENNIAL) SESSION (ECAC/34) AND 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE EUROPEAN CIVIL AVIATION CONFERENCE STRASBOURG, 30 JUNE - 1 JULY 2015 VENUE European Parliament Entrance via the Winston Churchill (WIC) building Avenue du Président Robert Schuman / Allée Spach Strasbourg, France Conference Room: First floor of the Louise Weiss (LOW) building The European Parliament is a non-smoking venue. See Attachment 1. TIMETABLE The meeting will commence at 09:00 hours on 30 June and will end before lunch on 1 July. Tea and coffee will be available outside the meeting room from 08:15 hours on 30 June. REGISTRATION All delegates are required to register for the Triennial Session in advance by completing the attendance form enclosed with the invitation and returning it to the ECAC Secretariat by or by fax by no later than 5 June For security reasons, all details requested in the form should be completed. In Strasbourg, delegates will be able to register their arrival at the welcome desk in the entrance hall of the European Parliament Winston Churchill (WIC) building from 08:00 hours on 30 June. Please bring ID. BADGES Badges will be issued to delegates during registration in the European Parliament on 30 June. Badges must be worn visibly at all times whilst in the European Parliament. WORKING LANGUAGES English and French simultaneous interpretation facilities will be provided.

2 DOCUMENTATION Working Papers will be posted on the ECAC website Wherever possible, please download documentation from the website in advance or consult the working papers via your laptop or tablet. Hard copies will not be available at the Session. OBSERVERS Unless otherwise decided by the Conference, Observers are invited to attend the entire Plenary Session. COMMUNICATION FACILITIES There will be wireless Internet access in the main conference room. Network, login and password information will be provided at the start of the Session. The Secretariat may be contacted as follows during the Session: +33 (0) (mobile) / There are no public telephone facilities accessible to delegates. REFRESHMENTS AND LUNCH Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available each morning outside the conference room and at fixed times during the day. Food and beverages are prohibited from the conference room. Lunch will be offered to all delegates on 30 June. Information on the lunch venue (in the European Parliament building) will be provided during the Session. SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS No baggage larger than a briefcase will be allowed inside the European Parliament building. Handbags/briefcases will be security screened upon entry to the building. Please carry ID whilst in the European Parliament and wear your conference badge visibly at all times. SOCIAL EVENT A reception hosted by the French authorities to which all delegates are invited will take place in the evening on 30 June. Full details will be provided to registered delegates at a later date. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION Delegates are invited to make accommodation bookings directly with the hotel of their choice. A number of rooms have been allocated under the reference ECAC/34 in four Strasbourg hotels (see Attachment 3). A booking form was enclosed with the invitation. Since only a limited number of rooms have been blocked, it is strongly recommended that delegates make their reservations as early as possible. TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION Strasbourg International Airport is a fifteen-minute drive from the centre of Strasbourg. Delegates are required to make their own way from the airport or train station to their hotel. 2

3 Up to four shuttle (TER) trains an hour run between Strasbourg International Airport and Strasbourg train station. The journey time is approximately nine minutes and a single shuttle ticket costs EUR Further information and a shuttle timetable can be obtained from the Strasbourg Airport website: From Strasbourg train station, each of the recommended hotels (Regent Petite France, Sofitel, Hannong, Best Western Monopole Métropole) is at the most a fifteen-minute walk (see Attachment 4). Delegates should make their own way to the European Parliament each day. The city centre is approximately 3 km from the European Parliament. Bus number 6 runs from the city centre Les Halles-Pont de Paris bus stop to the Orangerie bus stop at the European Parliament, near the Allée Spach entrance. Journey time is approximately 15 minutes. From the Orangerie bus stop, it is a short walk to Allée Spach (see Attachment 2) Further information can be obtained from the public transport website: or on the ECAC website: Taxi 13 (tel. +33 (0) , is the recommended taxi company for your trips within Strasbourg. Taxis may be booked in advance or delegates may call to be picked up immediately. Generally, taxis arrive ten to fifteen minutes after calling, depending on the traffic and time of day.
