Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 Minimum Hardware requirements: 1GB RAM, Pentium class processor, H.D. with at least 500MB of available capacity. Works as a standard Windows printer driver: o multiple copies per each picture o orientation o Glossy/Matte (in Advanced Options of driver) o sharpness level (in Advanced Options of driver) Automatic color. 3 SOFTWARE COMPONENTS K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes K60 Printer driver: virtual driver implementing Windows O.S. interface for printing devices. It s used by the customer to create the printing jobs from standard image processing applications like Adobe Photoshop, Picasa, MS Paint Print Module: application that receives the printing jobs from the K60 Printer driver through the windows printer spooler and sends them to the printer. 5 PENDING FEATURES K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes 13x18cm (centered in 15x20cm) / 5x7 in 6x8. Compatibility with third party ICC profiles and allowing choose the Colour Tables and Gamma Curves. Compatibility with Microsoft 64bit operating systems. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION STEPS: IMPORTANT NOTE: If you already installed a previous version, please follow the uninstallation steps explained in the next chapter of this document, before starting the steps described below. Please check that your system follows the software requirements described in the first page of this document. 1- Connect K60 printer to any USB port of your PC. 2- When New Hardware Found wizard appears, please cancel it. 3- Execute the driver update application in the folder 'UsbDrv' of the installation CD. Press Update button. 4- Install the software installer 'MITSUBISHI Photo Suite 1.0.exe' available in the root of the CD and accept any question from the installer. April 12, 2012 VIS R&D. 6 PRINT WORKFLOW: K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes Print workflow is as follows. a - Open the picture with your software application and open the printing menu. b - Select 'K60 Printer' as the destination printer. c - If print size, sharpness or print finish (glossy/matte) is not found in the main screen of the driver interface (this depends on the application), please go to Advanced Properties of the driver and choose it. After confirmation of printing, the Print Module application will appear close to the Windows print spooler in the right side of the Windows task bar. d - After some seconds printing will start. NOTE: Print Module will remain loaded in memory until the PC is shut down. This saves extra time per each printing job. In order to exit this application, press right mouse button on it. 7 K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes TROUBLESHOOTING: If K60 doesn t start printing, please check the following points: 1- The printer is connected and detected properly by the O.S. Please check the Device Manager. 2- The printer front panel doesn t show any error. 3- The Print Module is started. 4- The Printer Status is Ready in Print Module. April 12, 2012 VIS R&D. 8 K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes SOFTWARE UNINSTALLATION STEPS: 1- Disconnect the printer and exit Print Module application (right mouse button over icon, 'Exit') 2- Delete K60 Printer from Printers and Faxes Window. 2- Go to 'Windows Start - All Programs - MITSUBISHI Photo Suite - Uninstall' and launch the uninstaller application. 3- Go to Printers and Faxes Window, and press mouse right button on the background. Select 'Server properties' and delete these sizes in the Forms Tab (they could appear in the top of the list) :10x15, 13x18, 15x Go to drivers tab of this same windows and delete 'MEEPrinter Driver' or 'K60 driver', depending on previously installed versions. 9 REMARKS: K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes The driver installer always deletes the Print Module job folder. The software installs a new service in Windows OS ( Print Module Service ) that cleans automatically the Print Module job folders C:\PrintModule\PrintData and C:\PrintModule\PrintData\OrderList. This service shouldn t be ever stopped. It s possible to change default parameters of this service from Windows Start Menu/Programs/MITSUBISHI Photo Suite/Advanced Settings. April 12, 2012 VIS R&D. 10 K60 driver 1.0 Release Notes Print Module will not start when the printer is not connected. This software doesn t use standard ICC profiles by default. The advanced user can not simulate the printer output in the screen when using professional picture editing software together with printer icc profiles. Only when 3 rd party ICC profiles are supported by the driver, those profiles could be used for this purpose (next driver versions). PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL THIS SOFTWARE IN ANY FLEXILAB SYSTEM.
