Our hourly service is geared toward the individual or small business who may have a 2D sketch or just an idea, but lacks access to 3D modeling software. At $75/hr, this service is also great for making simple modifications to existing CAD files. Contractual rates can be negotiated for more involved engineering projects. Our team of experienced professionals will coordinate with you to take your project from start to finish. Coupled with our 3D printing services, 3 Space can provide a fast integrated solution for your product development needs. 3D Modeling: 3 Space can quickly turn your 2D sketch into a 3D printable CAD file. We can also make modifications to your existing CAD files. Product Design: If you have a brand new idea but don t know where to begin, our engineers can help you develop a functional, marketable product. Manufacturing: 3 Space can design jigs, fixtures and molds for your manufacturing needs. For some applications, these parts can be 3D printed in-house. Our high resolution 3D scanning equipment can scan both small and large objects while capturing small features such as threads and grooves. Scans can accurately reproduce precise features like snap fits and press fits. This makes scanning ideal for redesigning an existing part or prototype. We offer a wide variety of materials using the most advanced additive manufacturing processes available. Our services include fused deposition modeling (FDM), Stratasys revolutionary PolyJet technology and 3D Systems ColorJet technology. 8 PolyJet PolyJet is at the cutting edge of additive manufacturing technology. Similar to sterolithography (SLA), PolyJet produces parts from liquid resins that are solidified by UV light. This process offers high resolution parts with an excellent surface finish, perfect for concept modeling. Compared to SLA, PolyJet offers a larger selection of materials that are more durable than their SLA counterparts. This includes rigid plastics as well as rubber-like materials. PolyJet layer thickness is a fraction of what most SLA machines are capable of and it is the only process that allows for a single part to be produced from multiple materials. The PolyJet process can also mix two materials together to produce digital materials. This allows for part features with varying mechanical properties. 10 FDM Whether it s function testing or end-use, fused deposition modeling is perfect for parts that have a job to do. FDM is the only additive manufacturing technology that produces parts from production-grade thermoplastics with high heat, stress and impact resistance. Compared to SLS, FDM offers a wider variety of materials which includes nylon, ABS and other thermoplastics. This makes FDM suitable for more diverse applications. Additionally, FDM printed parts lack the chalky surface finish found on SLS parts and subsequently require little or no post-processing. 12 ColorJet 3D System s ColorJet technology produces models in full CMYK color while maintaining precision and detail. While these models can only be produced from a single material, the advantage is that your prototype can look like the finished product without post processing. Any image, such as logos, labels and decals can be perfectly replicated on ColorJet parts. The durability of the final product depends on the adhesive used to cure the part. 13 March 2014 FFF Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) is an affordable alternative to FDM. FFF parts tend to be less durable than FDM parts, but dimensional accuracy and lower pricing make FFF a great option for projects early in the design cycle. In addition to standard PLA and ABS plastics, 3 Space offers specialty materials such as rubber-like, glow-in-the-dark, simulated wood and simulated stone. Colors listed below are in stock. Treatment with a chemical agent or abrasive will smooth the part, giving it the appearance of an injection molded part.
