13 METUTECH EU PROJECT OFFICE Services that can be provided by Metutech EU Project Office During Project Management Phase: Managing the negotiation process of the project Checking the consortium and grant agreement by looking for partner s own benefits Preparation of agreement that will be mutually signed by the parties Controlling and monitoring the project expenditure in terms of approved project budget and FP7 financial guide and documenting and achieving those expenditures according to EU legislation according to Turkish legislation according to METU legislation Preparation of financial parts of periodic reports, mid-term and final report of the project according to EU legislation Preparing VAT exemption forms and submitting it to Ministry of Finance and following VAT Exemption Certificate Application Process Preparing periodic VAT exemption declaration and submitting it to TAB Preparing personal time sheets and submitting it to TAB Arranging and keeping personnel and expenditures records and informing respective departments of METU Achieving the whole project document during the project s lifetime and up to five years after the closure of the project
