For instance you are planning to get a laptop to run mediocre level applications and games then Intel Core i3 is good enough, it comes with 2.40GHz clock speed and 3 MB of Cache. But if you need speedier laptop then upgrade it to Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor which provide 2.70 GHz clock speed and 8 MB of Cache, but again it depends on your budget. Hard Disk: Hard disk is the amount of storage you required and it is measured in gigabytes. Initially people acquire small amount of storage space but these days you can easily get minimum of 180GB of hard disk which is pretty good but it gets better as now you can upgrade it to 500GB which is a lot more then you might need and the more space you ll acquire, the more you have to pay. Normally 300GB of storage space with 7400rpm is well enough for businessmen, students and gamers as well. Laptop Screen: These days there are different levels of LCD screens available in the market, initially laptop screens were based on Passive Matrix but today they are Active Matrix technology which is quite good then the passive on. LCD technology is way better then CRT and it consume less power as well, while choosing a laptop you have to consider the environment you want to use it in, for indoor use you don t need to worry but if you are planning to use it outdoor then make sure your screen display doesn t reflect daylight.
