1 CIRCL Solid Carbide Tooling BORIN / ROOVIN / FAC ROOVIN / PROFILIN / THRAIN
2 Markets and Applications Key Product Features ngineered to give outstanding performance in most machining applications. xceptional machining versatility providing aboveindustry standards for rupture strength. Coated tooling enhances tool life and excels where surface finishes are required. xpect excellent machining performance in aluminum, steels, stainless steels, copper, brass, high-temperature alloys, thermoplastics, and composites. Tough, micro-grain substrate available in both coated and uncoated grades. Bore diameters as small as 0.015?. Speed/Feed rates may vary depending upon materials and machining conditions such as, but not limited to, tool overhang, tool size, and finished surface requirements. Recommended Speed/Feed rate may be increased by 25% or more with the coated version of the selected tool. CARBI RA SLCTION CHART INSRT RA CBN6 C5 CM1 CP1 SUST RA APPLICATIONS Circle CBN-6 is recommended for machining hardened steel from 45RC to 65RC. Can be used with or without coolant. PV (Physical Vapor eposition) coated micrograin substrate insert. Tough, gold in color, and it performs well in nickel base materials such as titanium and/or inconel. It is also applicable in some steels, including most stainless steels and may give good performance in steels heattreated to 40RC. Very strong, tough, micrograin carbide insert. Use on titanium alloy or high-temperature alloys such as, inconel, hastelloy, or rene. Use on steel when extreme toughness is required such as, roughing at high feed rates and/or interrupted cuts. Performs best at slow SFM (75-200). Use when insert grades C-2, C-3, or C-25 fail due to chipping or breaking. CP-1 (Circle's Polycrystalline iamond) is a fine polycrystalline diamond compact grade, providing exceptional hardness and abrasion resistance. CP-1 is a superior finish boring grade that will significantly improve workpiece tolerances, surface finishes, and insert tool life in high silicon aluminum, copper, aluminum carbon graphite, hard rubber, plastics, and/or wood. 3
