Adoption of the draft agenda The draft agenda was adopted in the form shown in these minutes. 2. Chair's announcements The chairman made the following announcements: - Commissioner Vestager and Code of Conduct Group Chair Dr Nolz will attend the TAXE meeting of 5 May - The request of authorisations of TAXE missions to BE, NL, LU, IE, UK, CH have been sent to the EP President, with each delegation consisting of one representative per group, plus TAXE Chair. The visits should be organised in order to meet Finance Ministers, national parliament and stakeholders. Groups gave mandate to the Chair and the co-rapporteurs to submit suggestions for contacts to meet during these visits, and shall be consulted on the draft programmes. PV\ doc 7/8 PE v01-00
8 Groups requested to enlarge the delegations in the work places (BE, LU), and to open the other visits to members travelling on their own budget, if possible under the rules. In that case, it was agreed these enlarged delegations should reflect the political balance between the groups. - The request of authorisations of hearings on 11 May and 1 June has also been sent to the EP President. - The Chair will send letters to national parliaments to enquire about their legislative work in the area of combating aggressive tax planning, and to invite them to the interparliamentary meeting foreseen on 17 June. - The Chair will send letters to Member States' Finance Ministers, to give them the opportunity to appear before TAXE to outline their measures to combat aggressive tax planning. - The Chair debriefed members on his recent visit to Washington and suggest to organise a video-conference with the US authorities at a later stage. 3. Decisions on documents to be requested from Commission, Council and Members States A draft list of documents to be requested from Commission, Council and Members States was circulated. Decision: It was agreed to finalise the list by written procedure, and to send the requests by the end of the week. 4. Decision on setting up of a dedicated mailbox/cloud Decision : Following a discussion on the note of the EPO s legal service, it was decided to drop the creation of a dedicated box/cloud. The TAXE existing website will be uploaded with all possible documents of the committee and anyone would be able to send comments via the ordinary address. 5. TAXE roadmap: state of play The Chair asked members for their feedback on the updated TAXE roadmap as circulated. The Greens requested to extend the lists of invitees, to notably company representatives and former national finance ministers. Decision: No formal decision was taken on this point as the roadmap is considered work in progress. Coordinators will be informed on further developments. 6. Any other business None PE v /8 PV\ doc
