6 Systemwide Admission Guarantees for California FR Applicants Statewide Path Local Path Top 9% of California high school graduates Applicants must meet general requirements and have a high score on UC admission index Top 9% of students in local high school Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or better in a specific set of courses Applicants meet 9% benchmark GPA for the high school 6

8 Comprehensive Review Major Elements Applicants are evaluated on multiple criteria Applicants cannot be denied based on a single criterion (e.g., SAT/ACT scores) Applicants educational and personal circumstances are considered Comprehensive Review is the process by which students applying to UC campuses are evaluated for admission using multiple measures of achievement and promise while considering the context in which each student has demonstrated academic accomplishment.
