We use the latest computer technology with Finite Element Method modelling to include non-linear effects of cracked concrete and evaluation of Eigen frequencies. 10 Tendering Tendering Get the Rules and Price Right - the First Time For smooth and cost competitive project implementation, the approach to procurement planning and tendering is of vital importance. During this process the interaction between the owner and developer on the one side and the suppliers and contractors on the other is outlined and project risks limited. 12 Construction We provide support at the construction site offshore and at the manufacturers production sites and we manage the supply chain activities with logistics management and contract and claims management. Our people also manage and supervise activities through manufacturing supervision and site and installation supervision at the construction location. Finally, we handle testing and commissioning activities. Logistics Implementation the Smart Way An important and cost saving aspect of the construction phase is well planned logistics and optimised transportation of all equipment from the manufacturer s site to the construction site. Close and efficient monitoring at the manufacturer s site can also increase the overall efficiency of the whole project, ensuring timely delivery and budget performance. We have demonstrated on several offshore wind farm projects that savings can be made through detailed and efficient planning of logistics, optimisation of harbour facilities, availability of the right vessels for various purposes and close monitoring of the manufacturing process. Legal requirements for health and safety differ from country to country but have to be fully respected and integrated into project implementation. 14 Operation and Maintenance Operation and Maintenance Increase Efficiency, Reduce the Headache Long-term availability of the wind farm is crucial for the payback on investment. Normally the availability will be 97% or more, but this requires a dedicated focus on O&M from the outset. Our team of experts has decades of experience in operating and maintaining wind farms worldwide. On your behalf we perform independent reviews and inspections of wind farms, identifying potential technical problems, options for optimisation of normal operation as well as technical due diligence inspections. Further, we support you in planning and tendering for the service contract, Warranty Operation and Maintenance Agreements (WOMA) and in troubleshooting.
