5 Successful completion of the CIPD Foundation level 3 Certificate/ Diploma programmes, in addition to relevant work-based experience, will enable participants to apply for Associate Membership of the CIPD. Why choose a CIPD Qualification? With over 135,000 members, the CIPD is the leading professional awarding body in the field of Human Resources, Learning & Development. CIPD membership and qualifications are widely acknowledged to enhance career development and job prospects. They re internationally recognised as a benchmark for professionalism and are a requirement for many human resources and development roles. What are the Level 3 CIPD Qualifications and Pathways? The CIPD Level 3 qualifications cover a range of units that deal with the latest trends, practices, and practical application in HR and L&D areas. The CIPD Level 3 qualifications provide participants with the option to obtain a Foundation Level Award, Certificate or a Diploma in Human Resources Practice (HRP) or Learning & Development Practice (L&DP) pathways. The foundation level qualifications are at an equivalent level to NVQ/SVQ level 3.
6 Human Resources (HR) Pathway These qualifications are designed to help participants develop essential HR skills and give them the inputs to be more effective at work and add value to their HR function. Who is it for? Those who are new to HR. People who are interested in a move into HR. Those who are working in HR in a support role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills. Line managers who are involved in HR and those who have responsibility for HR activities and decisions within an organisation without a specialist function. What will I get out of it? A sound understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviour required of a professional HR practitioner, in a generalist or a specialist role. An understanding of how HR activities support an organisation s strategy and assist the achievement of business objectives and how these are shaped by internal and external factors. Ability to analyse HR information and present findings to inform decision-making. What are the various options? 1. Award in HR Essentials 3-6 credits 2. Certificate in HR Practice (CHRP) 28 credits 3. Diploma in HR Practice (DHRP) 37 credits.
7 How is it assessed? All units are assessed through different types of assignments. Learning & Development (L&D) Pathway Who is it for? Those aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in L&D People working in the field of L&D in a support role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills Those responsible for L&D activities and decisions within an organisation without a specialist function Those contracted as employees or independent consultants within the field of L&D. What will I get out of it? Knowledge and skills required to deliver planned L&D activities, focusing on the importance of creating and maintaining a positive learning environment and the knowledge and skills required for the actual delivery of an activity or session. Developing a sound understanding of the knowledge for a professional L&D practitioner. Understanding how L&D activities support an organisation s strategy and assist the achievement of business objectives and how these are shaped by internal and external factors.
