3 Staircases and Balustrading Mild steel powder coated feature staircase and balustrading. The balustrading has a stainless steel top rail and three stainless steel wire infills. Although normally manufactured from polished stainless steel, balustrades and hand rails can also be supplied in mild steel, galvanised or polyester powder coated mild steel, or polished brass. Staircases and their associate balustrades can be designed and manufactured in many configurations including straight, spiral or curved with infills of toughened glass, timber, sheet, bar or perforated plate. Top rails can be of mild or stainless steel, timber or nylon coated. Mild steel polyester powder coated balusters complete with stainless steel top rail and wire infill. Project: Eddie Stobbart. 2

26 Semi-Modular Balustrading In addition to designing, manufacturing and installing custom built architectural metalwork, M&G Olympic Products also offers semi-modular balustrading systems. All components used are manufactured from high quality materials to the same standards as our custom-built products. They can be delivered for assembly on site quickly and easily without welding. Components are despatched unassembled and accompanied by a drawing. Olympic semi-modular systems produce aesthetically pleasing balustrades which are smooth, clean and provide a cost-effective solution to most requirements. They conform to all the latest building standards and are suitable for both external and internal use. Stainless steel glass infilled balustrading to shopping centre stairwell and balcony. Balusters These can be supplied in polished or satin stainless steel and mild steel either galvanized or powder coated in solid or metallic colours. Infills Many options are available including toughened glass, bar, wire, rope and perforated or solid powder coated mild steel or stainless plate. 27 Sports Stadia Metalwork Here at M&G Olympic we appreciate that correctly specified and installed architectural metalwork has an essential role to play in efficient and safe crowd control at sports stadia. Conforming to the test and performance criteria in the British Standards Green Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, we design, manufacture and install a range of architectural metalwork for sports stadia including crowd control barriers, guard rails, escape stairs, hand rails, security gates and balcony balustrades. These can be supplied in stainless steel or polyester coated mild steel, with wire rope, toughened glass, rod or perforated panels as appropriate. 26
28 Canopies Fabricated from stainless or mild steel sections, canopies can be either designed by M&G Olympic s design team to building regulations, or fabricated to client specifications and budgets. Framework can be polyester powder coated to standard RAL colours, with polycarbonate or glazed roof and optional side infills. Decorative perforated sheets can be included as a feature. 27

33 Punched and Louvered Solutions M & G Olympic Products has set up a dedicated sheet metal punching section and is able to offer a wide range of competitively priced perforated plates. We provide bespoke punched or louvered solutions for a variety of applications from simple brackets through infill panels for walkways, balustrades and stairways, to decorative roof panels and fabrications for street furniture. Other engineering products such as guards, screens, filters, electrical enclosures and ventilators can also be manufactured. Self-Coloured Perforated Aluminium Cladding Panels To Observation Tower, The Tank Museum, Bovington. Reduced set up and changeover times mean that we can supply panels as one-offs or in batches delivered to agreed schedules all at highly competitive prices. Panels up to 1270mm x 4000mm can be supplied with a punching accuracy of ±0.5mm. These can be in mild steel and aluminium up to 6.5mm thick and stainless steel up to 4.0mm thick. All work is computer nested for maximum economy. Our established design team and experienced work force mean that we can, if required, also offer customers a complete range of CAD/CAM, manufacturing, fabricating and finishing services a true one-stop-shop capability. 32
