3 Location The Utopia apartments are in the perfect position on the fringe of the village of Wiler and just 100m from the cable car which whisks you up from 1400m to 1900m and gives access to the sunny Lötschental ski area. In the morning you can walk into the centre of the village in just three or four minutes to buy your croissants and enjoy a drink after skiing or dinner in the evening. The apartments face South and all have good views down the valley and to the mountains beyond. Property These two modern apartment buildings are under construction now. 11 Resort information Lötschental Valley The Lötschental is most certainly one of the most beautiful valleys in the canton of Valais, and nestles between the Bernese and Valais Alps in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Jungfrau-Aletsch. The valley is around 30km long and is therefore the largest of the Valais side valleys north of the Rhone. The wild River Lonza that flows out of the Lang Glacier and meets the Rhone south of Gampel rushes the whole way down the Lötschental. This resort is just over 2 hours from Geneva, and only 1 hour from the ski resorts of Saas Fee or Crans Montana, and 1 hour 15 mins from Zermatt. 12 Wiler im Lötschental - 1,419m above sea level Right at the very heart of the Lötschental lies Wiler, the perfect holiday destination for active holidaymakers and families. Wiler is the starting point of the cable car to the Lauchernalp at a height of 1,970m above sea level. The Lauchernalp offers a wonderful hiking and outdoor sports region ideal for hikers and ramblers of all levels. 13 Lauchernalp Ski Resort This sunny ski resort has 33km of pistes up to a height of 3,111m and also has a quite unique freeride area. The Lauchernalp is just as popular with active skiers, from beginners to experts, as with families with small children, snowboarders and lovers of virgin snow. The ski arena offers simple blue runs to more challenging black descents - everything that a skier's heart could desire! Against the backdrop of the imposing mountainous UNESCO World Heritage Site with 40 peaks higher than 4,000 metres, skiers can access the wonderful slopes of the Lauchernalp with its perfectly prepared runs either by cable car, two chairlifts, two tows and a glacier cable car.
