4 AUTOMATIC POLICY-BASED SMART-RECORDING BodyWorn automatically begins recording in response to a number of events that can be driven by an agency s policies. The intuitive technology behind BodyWorn does the work so police officers can focus on policing, not making videos. SPEECH RECOGNITION & BIOMETRICS Activate BodyWorn, Start Recording. BodyWorn can be trained to listen for voice commands by an officer to begin recording. If an officer s heart rate soars, BodyWorn can begin recording. SENSORS IN VEHICLE Light Bar, Siren, Door Opening, Shot Gun Removal When a combination of these events occur, BodyWorn knows there is an important event going on, and automatically triggers recording. ACCELEROMETER Officer takes off running or gets into a struggle and BodyWorn automatically begins recording. If an officer goes down, BodyWorn can alert central dispatch to send backup. GEOGRAPHIC ACTION ZONES Collect video evidence during an emergency event or in a high-crime area. A specified radius on the map triggers all BodyWorn devices inside it to begin recording, and stops recording upon exiting. REMOTE THROUGH CENTRAL DISPATCH Miles away, individual or groups of BodyWorn devices can be triggered by dispatch to start and stop recording. BLUETOOTH TRIGGER Manually start, stop or mute recording by using a bluetooth remote.

5 SECURE IMMEDIATE WIRELESS UPLOAD TO THE CLOUD BodyWorn immediately begins uploading video in the field while recording. Video is encrypted at rest, in transit, and at its destination in a secure cloud with AWS, that is CJIS compliant, and managed entirely by the Department. In contrast, first generation body cameras require docking, leaving critical evidence vulnerable to being lost or damaged before the end of the shift.
