5 (1) Poor [1] 0 0% 0% (5) Excellent [5] 4 67% 67% Mean of student responses: ** Use this space for any comments you may have about the course, the instructor, readings, etc. [681] Student 4: Poorvi is one of the best instructors in the CS department. That this course covered one of her interest areas made it even better. More helpful feedback from the Grader would have been helpful for the (difficult but manageable) projects, especially since the final project depended on the previous project being done correctly. Student 3: This is my second time having Porvi and she is simply the best. I like how she tailors the class to the the students that she is teaching that semester. It allows for the class to better understand the material. This is something I would like to see more professors do or at least show that they actually care like Dr. Vora does. Student 2: Professor Vora is one of, if not the best professor in the computer science department. Student 1: It was a very fast moving class for the undergrads (me). I wouldn't call it unfair, but Vora certainly throws you in the deep end. My toughest part was grasping the math and notation, a concept at which the professor is definitely knowledgeable, which caused her to move perhaps too quickly through it at times. Discrete II was a long time ago, so I felt I took a while to catch up to the level she expected us at regarding prerequisites. Department-Specific Questions 16. I had met all the specified prerequisites for the course. (4) [4] 1 17% 20% (5) Strongly agree [5] 4 67% 80% 17. My previous coursework had adquately prepared me for the course. This can be viewed as the mean of means of courses. **** - Standard deviation of student responses: A measure of the variability or dispersion in a set of scores that provides an indication of the average amount by which the student scores deviate from the student mean of the distribution ***** - Standard deviation of courses: A measure of the variability or dispersion in a set of scores (mean of each course) that provides an indication of the average amount by which each of the course mean deviates from the mean of the distribution of all course means.
