Rather than drowning shelves in wide-area lighting, SHELF LIGHT provides just the carefully dosed right amount of light for each shelf bay, thus focussing the light on the merchandise. The customer s attention is drawn exclusively to the items that are on sale. This creates perfect conditions for selectively setting an upmarket product line centre stage in a supermarket: goods are aesthetically enhanced, and even heat-sensitive products such as chocolate or cosmetics can be staged by gentle illumination. With colour temperatures of 3,000 and 4,200 K, SHELF LIGHT makes it possible to use the appropriate light colour to emphasise the natural colour of products.

The luminaire and track are fixed magnetically, there is no need for any screws or adhesive tape. Magnetic fixing also ensures extreme flexibility. It is really simple to detach a SHELF LIGHT luminaire from a shelf and use it in a different location. The connector is protected against polarity reversal; the luminaire is powered by safety extra-low voltage; both these features make installation straightforward even for supermarket employees. This means that lighting can be adapted quickly and without fuss to cater for new shelving layouts. Not only that SHELF LIGHT is also ideal for retrofitting into existing shelving systems.

One unit can supply up to seven luminaires.

9 SHELF LIGHT product line The LED SHELF LIGHT system is available in four versions that cater for a variety of situations and requirements. Versions in two different lengths are designed to match the standard lengths of commercially available supermarket shelving. SHELF LIGHT is available in warm white and intermediate white colour temperatures that can be used to accentuate the natural colour of products in a way that promotes sales.
