3 1. Introduction Due to the realization of an international project in which students of 1 Superior Avionics and Aeromechanical Training Course (Aircraft Maintenance), of Spain, working together with students from Poland, Germany and Turkey, it was held the first of four meetings necessary for preparation of the project, called the Check The Flow, with representatives from each country. In it, they have been treated for matching key aspects of the work to be developed by each team; as well as information sharing procedures work, teaching and several ways of access to higher education of each of them. It has also been shared cultural information and leisure have been made to promote integration among all participants. In order to do so, the official language chosen by its members, has been English. 2. Event localization This activity has been done in Rzeszow, Poland, in the Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych. 3. Activities developed The event has taken place during 5 days, in which there have been a series of preprogrammed activities, such as: Touchdown of the different teams through exposure by each of the countries presentation of an introduction. Exhibition of work to be developed by each team. Detail of work done to date by each team. It has been specified the information they need some other equipment for proper development of the project Groups have been formed with members from each country where we have analyzed the studies and conclusions of each one of them, and finally reached an agreement among members, with what has materialized which is the final structure of the project. 4 Dates have been set for completion of duties for each country and have confirmed the dates of the next meeting and the reasons for carrying out each of them. 4. Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych Our teammates Rzesrow, showed us the facilities of the high school where they carried out the practical part performed for each training course: Workshops with different educational materials for learning some aircraft systems such as landing gear and fuel transfer. They also had a cockpit instrument panel. We had the chance to solve a problem exposed by the teachers. A specific case he saw was caused by an oil leak and the student was trying until they got to fix it Página 3 de 9

5 CNC machines possessed very advanced for the development of machining parts control and computer rooms adjacent latest equipment and 3D projectors, for learning programming and control them. All this material was supplied by Airtec" an aeronautical company subsidized by the European Union, which provides them with everything necessary for proper student learning. They also had a large warehouse where they were the different tools and materials for the proper training of students. Página 4 de 9

6 Cutting workshops, filed and polished machining, using the suitable machinery to do so. They also showed other workshops relating to other specialties that are taught at the center, such as construction, where we could see within the same center how the students built several chimneys. 5. Rzeszow University of Technology: We had the opportunity to visit the Technical University of Rzeszow, in this university you can study different degrees, in which one of them is the aviation sector, because of this they showed us their facilities. 7 This consisted of workshops where students work, laboratories of fatigue and nondestructive testing among others, as well as theoretical classrooms. In one of their workshops they possessed wind tunnels of different sizes, where we saw how one of them worked, using an angle of attack made of wood. Changing its position and the power of the air generator we could see the pressure and speed in different points of the represented profile, by sensors installed in it. To study the different aerodynamic forces. In this same workshop they possessed a large space where there was a plane, which all its external part was being dismantled and replaced by a transparent fiber material, so that students could see everything inside like different systems and how they work (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic). 8 They have a turbine workshop with a cutting-edge simulator, using parameters of the aircraft attitude it showed the behavior that would have the turbine, providing parameters of pressures, speeds, temperatures, etc. originated in different parts of it. So they could see how and in which way the different forces affecting the turbines. The same simulator had an instruction manual for assembly and disassembly the turbines, step by step. They had turbines and engines of all kinds, many of them had made the cut in a section of it to see all its parts and components. Página 7 de 9

9 In another laboratory they could experiment with ultrasounds.they could study the behavior of different airfoils at the speed of sound, using water for that, because it is denser than air, the waves that form when moving profile in the fluid are similar to those generated in reality air by the speed of sound. There was a hangar for airplanes, with all the necessary materials for its study, manufacture and repair. In this hangar had equipment for testing the wings bending, tension and other types. 10 In other workshops there were mechanized equipment such as lathes and milling machines, both numerical control and manual, in which manufactured and repaired parts. This university had more workshops and other facilities, we only visited those related to aeronautics. For more information about the university you can check out their website: portal.prz.edu.pl. 6. In conclusion It has been a productive and rewarding experience, because we have solved many doubts about the project from all members as well as sharing a lot of information and we have practiced actively English, key in the aeronautic world.
